Sudanese VP makes telephone call to SPLM leader over peace accord

KHARTOUM, Mar 23, 2005 (Sudan Tribune) — Sudanese First Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha made Wednesday a telephone call with Chairman of Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) John Garang on which Garang asserted that the movement is going forward in the arrangement of peace.

Garang affirmed during the telephone call that the SPLM delegation will arrive in Khartoum on the 28 of March to participate with the government in drafting the interim constitution.

The first vice-president, for his part renewed the commitments of the two parties to implement the peace agreements.
