Eritrea president chairs meeting of army cdrs, regional chiefs

MASSAWA, Eritrea, April 7, 2005 (ERINA) — Regional administrators and Operation Zone commanders conclude meeting in Massawa after hearing quarterly reports on work accomplishments and action plans for the next three months. The meeting that was opened by President Isaias Afwerki conducted deliberations mainly on the agricultural sectors.

Detailed presentations were made on preparations for effective performance in this sector ahead of the forthcoming rainy season.

All the regional administrators presented reports on the accomplishments and work plans regarding activities carried out in the construction of water diversion canals, ponds, terracing and embankment.

The administrators called on pertinent agencies to make available the necessary agricultural machineries on time so as to attain the set objectives in the domain of agriculture.
