Egypt pledges 10m dollars for Sudan’s reconstruction

OSOL, April 12, 2005 (MENA) — Egypt pledged Tuesday at the donors’ conference in Oslo to offer Sudan 10m dollars to help in the reconstruction process.

Addressing the conference, Egyptian International Cooperation Minister Fayizah Abu-al- Naja reviewed the assistance offered by Egypt to Sudan over the past years and the tripartite cooperation between Egypt and some of the donor countries to rebuild Sudan.

Abu-al-Naja held several meetings on the margin of the conference, including one with he Norwegian cooperation minister and another with development minister and the Dutch cooperation minister, on means to activate cooperation between Egypt, Norway and Netherlands for the reconstruction of Sudan.
