The Sudanese embassy in Washington has started making contacts with US official and others quarters which influence the public opinion.
The contacts are meant to explain the extent of what it termed as targeting Sudan and the peace process by some members of a right wing extremist religious group in the US Congress.
The contacts come are being made following reports by a recent Newsweek international edition publication disclosing that the people’s movement [rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Movement SPLM] received financial aid from a Christian solidarity organization. The same reports indicate that SPLM cadres have also received training from a US security firm.
The deputy head of the Sudanese mission in Washington, Ambassador Abd-al-Baqi Kabir, said the embassy had written a general letters to all the concerned quarters, official and those which could influence public opinion, informing them about the Sudanese problem.
