W. Equatoria authority backs GOSS position on arrest warrant

March 11, 2009 (YAMBIO) – The authorities of Western Equatoria state today dismissed a report that the majority of people in the state are happy with the arrest warrant issued against President Omer Al-Bashir by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

After a meeting of the state council of ministers yesterday, the official spokesman of the state government today issued a statement referring to an article that appeared in Sudan Tribune on March 8, 2009, headlined "Majority of WES citizens think Sudan’s Bashir should comply with ICC."

"The veracity of this statement is doubtful, hence the state government would like to make its position categorically clear that the views expressed in the article was an individual opinion, therefore; it does not represent the views of the Government of the State” said the statement signed by Col. Joseph Ngere Paciko, Deputy Governor and Minister of Information and Communications.

Sudan Tribune’s article on the matter had quoted citizens from different parts of the state including a member of the state government who spoke on condition of anonymity. However, the article did not claim to represent the state government’s official position on the matter.

Minister Paciko clarified that "The position of the state government on the current situation involving the President and ICC is in line with position of the Govenrment of Southern Sudan."

The position of the ruling party of the Government of Southern Sudan is to encourage a strategy for diplomatically opposing the indictment while nevertheless supporting cooperation with the ICC procedures.

        To Warload and Chameleon

I think you guys have ran away from the main topic as expressed in the article. How can you begin by insults and what does it show? Are you trying to express your ignorance and obnoxious bahaviours. By the way you have to know that the comments you guys post here are not read by you only, but by the whole world and lets adopt to be honest and logical in our thoughts by advertising influential ideas to the world outside there.

If you talk of your tribe liberating the rest from oppression, then never tell out in this way. This is why its hard to teach you guys because of your bacground as the saying goes, "It is impossible for a Man to teach a Cow how to dance".

Point to note; Lets finish the referendum and after being granted the repulic of the southern sudan in the determining election, the rest of the tribes can merge to fight gainst you, this is because of your "cow-dish" ways of understanding and belief. Hence don’t think that dinkas only fought and hence liberated everyone, however you have to put into your minds that every single tribe fought militarilly, politically and economically. Anyway you only liberated your cows.

      Big Stupid Logic Boy

Come again what did you just said in your comment.
You see that is why we do call you chameleon. In the article being rejected above by your coward citizen, you had praised them for supporting Bashir arrest warrant and now you are endorsing them for not supporting the initiative. Last time you were proud of them
      Now are you proud again?

Am really wandering what type of human being are you. Anyway that is your nature.
You are like a leaf of a tree which always follows the wind direction.

When you people says yes let Bashir be arrested, you are with them and when they reverse their support you are also with them. Don’t you have your ideas?
Why should we waste our time always talking to a such dull head like you

You are such a big shame to your self.

You are part and parcel of Khartoum. Most of the people supporting Al Bashir on Saturday saying,’Let Ocampo go to hell’. Who were they? They are from Yei, Yambio. From former Bashir malitia calling itself Aringa, formed to fight SPLA and now enjoying the fruit of SPLA.

What do you know about Southern Sudan, you gallaton! Bribery to turn against your people are the characteristics of WES. Join your Bashir in Khartoum and continue enjoying S.S. Petroleum, but watch ICC indictment, is at your door.

Excuse me of my ignorance, i just need to comment unto yr articles which i think may not help southerners in along run, so please watchout and think twice be4 writing to the people otherwise the revise will be true.
        - we have not achieved our own independence, politically we have not either clear greviences and barries amongst ourselves but now we have gone to the extent of creating more problems which i think personally will not unite south.
Eg, if at all you started the war, so what’s wrong with that.
And if you have seen some tribes supporting Bashir, so why don’t you advice them in good manner as an educated person/leader as you had mentioned.
Do you think insulting is the right way to solve problems.
Am afraid such leaders wouldn’t last long.
If you have a house boy/girl at home, never do that craim of insulting him/her otherwise he / she may endup walking away from yr house/ admin.
        - Don’t you think that this could be the right time for you to beg the rest of tribes so that you can get the position you’re looking for?
Any way it looks like you’re kids - because kids don’t handle matters in amature way.

Dumb dogs barkin here and there, none of u guyz iz wise or patiriotic all of u are in favor of ur community not of ur country, as i stand a human being with diginty and respect i will never support a dumb and unwise brother in my family neither my tribe. If you support your communty or bring the name of your communtiy in daily basis as the best thatz will be your own aguemant with history not individauls of other communty, calling equatirain coward is not difinding the true problem of southern-sudan or calling Dinka a librator is not difinding the true problem of southern sudan. The true problem of south sudan rely on the hatred toward another community with out knowing the reality of what that person is like, for God sake we dont know all Equatorian minds/Dinkas or Nuer, every individaul have diffrent with other individual even thou that your brother there is alwayz a wise one in family not all family is wise. So for my Equatorain people there nothing as Equatoria, Equatoria content varity of land with different type of language, thinking, atitude, culture and all kind of thinks and all are different (Ex- madi and Zande are not close in thinking and culture, muru and kaku are not close with each other in cultuer or langauge as well as Dinka Dinka of Bor got diffeneces with Dinka of Awiel, or Dinka of Agar or Dinka of Abeiy or Dinka of tony or Dinka of malual to Nuer lou got diffenece with Nuer of Gat-jack, and Gat-jok, for give me of spelling so to all of my brothers lost in darkness and do not see, please try to come out of darkness and see. The propecy of GOD is near 2012 there will be Elusion to this planet so less be ready for whatever not hating with some dumb competitions. ETHIC is the way of life.

Warload lets be sensible and rational in dealing with such matters. For your information I did not stay in Uganda for more than one week.We have to deal with the current issues before I let you know the etymology of liberation so that you will construe with the right sense without misinterpretation.

Warload am here Dinka as well my dad fought ANY-ANYA I and II but thatz iz okay with history, we dont not need to bull other incomptetence forks for they not controbuted in the war as much as u did, what u should ask for iz respect not threat. To logic boy am not here wise or you out there going to compare me with my other Dinka tribe men as tribalistic, no all you want to do is understand and appreciate from someone that give you something, yes Dinka as i know controbuted alot in the war i know it very well and it should be appreciation from some one who didnt do that, so that my advice to big-logic iz learn to apprecaite even thou it iz ur enemy, for give them but never forget them if they really hurt you, since i know i didnt heard of Dinka declaring war on equatoria or on any tribe in equatorai in history of Southern sudan and thatz a fact. For me is just like you were born to hate someone specailly Dinka. For God sake logic world is moving fast and we need to settle down and think what is really right, what is positive and negative? then finally we will get to our solutions not in south sudan but to sudan and to Africa reach the world. ETHIC iz way of life thank you!
