Jonglei footballers entertain Muslims on Eid al-Adha

November 27, 2009 (BOR) – Nassir Football Club beats Freedom FC or Hurriya 3-1 Friday in a match organized to coincide with Eid al-Adha, a Muslim greatest festival in Bor.

Government offices are off today in Bor for the celebration of Eid Al-Adha, a holiday celebrated by Muslims to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.

The late afternoon match between local teams was organized by Muslims and state government.

Nassir midfielder extended the favorites lead in the first-half with a long closed forty meters from goalpost. Freedom FC early equalizer in the early second-half was smashed by Nassir FC double extensions minutes later.

Playing at the clearly dry Bor Town Freedom Square – a multipurpose ground players has nothing to demand extra time because the pitch is rough and a foul is an injured.

However, sport fans gave a tremendous support in a game where players’ inexperience was clear.

The Eid al-Adha organizers also invited traditional dancers from all tribal group but only Anyuak dancers performed late evening. As the local entertainments fade with increasing influence of modern sports, Dinka Bor dancers or audience dally before returning home unsatisfied.

Most youths now prefer passive involvement in traditional dance and only a minor number is active.

How are many Equatorians and other southerners playing in Sudan national team and no southerner talking about it. I advising you not to politicized issues that affect nothing in our region. Don’t just exaggerate any information. Muslim soccer team affect nothing from you and it has nothing to do with the culture assimmilation you talking about nincompoop. I call you nincompoop because your reasoning capacity is degenerating and fading away. You assume you know something and well-acquainted to politics but let be warned that you don’t know less.

      Dear Big Logic Boy,

One thing that that I realized and so unique about you is that: you are very consistent than most people on this board except that it is something that is unproductive and useless at its face value. Just try to be impartial as you did sometime and you may have some followers in your crticisms. Our brothers, Equatorians are very decent and welcome people and their hospitality toward Bor Dinka in 1991, during their doomsday and massacre will never ever be forgotten. Thank you

Dear Big Logic Boy and Busta

Please learn to stand on your own instead of tribal parochialism and fringe that have nothing to do with whole of Equatoria. My previous statement hold that Equatorian people are very hospitable and welcoming ones but backward and homo erectus like you whose their intentions are to cause public disorder would always remain useless even if we send them to school. The Bor Dinka you demonize most of the time are the most decent people among the entire Dinka society and they never tolerate any kind of demogague crooks in our midst. We are the most smart and generous people in entire Southern Sudan, yet we are proud of who we are my friend. History has attests that our homeland, the Bor District is the only district that had never been represented by northern Sudanese Jallaba since the creation of Sudan by Almighty. We never bent hell to Jalla and this is one of the reasons why useless pigs and self-glorified cross breedings whose their lips are full of hatred would always hate our proud community. We are many and educated and there is no way you can avoid us my friend. As for your information, there is a treatment for alcoholic syndrome for cabals of your types if that is the case you are nagging most of the time against Bor Dinka. We will always remain your rulers no matter whether the Sudan remain united or not. Get this piece of information correctly period!!

As for this rural bred crook called Busta, what are you talking about here? Learn not to defecate near your homestead before saying unsubstantiated fragmented and illogical piece of crap on public fora. You don’t deserve my response at all and so be it.

      Thanks Mr Busta2,

I know that Western Equatorinans are coward who welcome arabs in their towns and they refuse to chase them away in the North-South War. They always dance on and beneath the mountains at night while the brave true liberators are goinh for War.

Second, i know that WE are betrayers who shot SPLA at the back when fighting Kapoeta whhen they smell the Malaria Quins.

Third, WEs are NCP agents who collaborate with Jallabah for decades and claim that their land has been taken by othr tribes.

Fouth, They are the first and one who were almost caught excersising the NCP duties and selling their registration slips.

Finally, they are peacefully, but their mind swiched every time like for prostitutes.

Thanks Busta2, Logic boy for being the NCP agents.

      To Logic,

It will be wise to take this piece of advice if you don’t mind.First and foremost, this is a public site therefore, you should prove read your comment before sending it to the site such that you can convey a clearer message. You seem educated, but you write as someone who has never attended any institution. Don’t waste your time and energy if you have nothing concrete to educate the public with.

Secondly, be informed that Dinka Bor Culture is a distinct culture that can’t match yours and can’t be mistaken for any other by any one unless by a fool of your like. it doesn’t needs anex of any culture to enrich it. Also, Islam has never and will never be Dinka Bor’s religion. Any individual who choose to be Muslim has every right to do so like any other Southerner who might have done so. Southerners were not fighting religion out of the country, but restructuring of the governance system in the Sudan. take head of this Logic, this is part of the history that you don’t know.

The struggling you are taking of did more harms to Bor Dinka and its devastating effects are fresh in the minds of those who lost their loved ones. Those people don’t need to be remind by a fool like logic. Logic, if you are a real Equatorian then take this, you are painting Equatorians’ image badly. What I know so far about you is that you are disguising in the name of Equatorian yet you are not.

Why do you confuse always "Arabic" with "Islam"? You do not know that there are more than 10 millions of Arabic Christians. They are not Moslem. And Jesus spoke the "aramean", a language very close to Arabic.
As Christian missionary, I suffered personally from the Islamic regime. But I have to recognize that all the Moslems are not "Islamic". As all the Christians were not traders of slaves.

There are 5 NCP members who have joined the SPLM in Jonglei State few months ago.

I’m sure that now it’s the SPLM in jonglei who are going to join the NCP with 70% including their hunger coordinator Mr. KUOL Manyang Juk.

The sells of voters’ registrations are taking place at Jonglei since the State is faced with Hunger challengers.

I can assure you that the whole state of jonglei community is going to Muslimize them selves owing the shortage of food which hit the state now.

Yesterday the Deputy Governor was asking for emergence assistance in directly from the Intonation Islamic relief before thing goes worse in that state, means that before the SPLM realize the game.

Thank you guys for your concerned. I am from Bor myself, and whatever Thon Eleu reported is misleading and it’s un-Bor by nature. I Dont believe that there is any reason why do we entertain muslims of any kind? This is worse thing ever reported and I stand shoulder to shoulder with you and I am in dismay by this even. Although the report said that its "coincide" with Muslim Holiday, I still believe that the title is defaming to our people. Someone must sue Thon for Misleading information is there is any code of conducts in the South which says that Journalist should not report false information. By submitting yourself to muslims again, is worse than a dog licking its own vomit. Bor been my proud home and no other places in Sudan to compared it to in term of liberations and coherence. We just failed the whole of South for this mistake. Goddamn help held Thon and those footballers and their organizers accountable.

The match was "organized" to coincide, that is what the article said, ie it was deliberate.

This Eid is a festival of death when Muslims cut throats of animals. Why do Muslims like to cut animals’ throats so much? It gives me the creeps. And why do south Sudanese not simply ignore this horrible festival or, better still, ban it. It is undignified. Kill animals for meat if you have to but not make it into some kind of fun.

I wish I didn’t have to hear about south Sudan being slowly overtaken by Muslims. How long before sharia law comes too? Those Muslims should leave Islam if they want to live in precious south Sudan...

Oh, you mean you eat it alive without killing it! Even when you hate , you can still be reasonable! Medically and hygenically you have drain the blood out, of the animal. If you leave the blood in bacteria will grow very quickly and the meat gets wrotten rapidly. This is done everywhere not only by muslims!

There is nothing in what I said that warranted such a reply. But maybe you misunderstood me when I said "Kill animals for meat if you have to..." I don’t eat meat; I was referring to the use of animals for meat. The point I made is that Muslims like to celebrate death.

Hate? Why should I not hate the mindset of invaders who want to destroy my way of life and impose their death-cult so-called "religion"?
