Sudanese president receives head of Palestinian Islamic Jihad

February 3, 2013 (KHARTOUM) – Sudanese president Omer Hassan al-Bashir has met with the leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Ramadan Shalah, at his residence in Khartoum.

Sudan’s official state news agency (SUNA) said the two men discussed issues of mutual concern.

It is not clear when Shalah arrived in Sudan.

The PIJ is designated as a terrorist organisation by the United States, United Kingdom and European Union.

Israel accuses Sudan of serving as a hub for transiting Iranian weapons via the Egyptian Sinai desert to militant groups in the Gaza strip, including PIJ.

The Israeli air force are believed to have launched several airstrikes against targets in Sudan since 2009, including one as recent as last October on a military complex near Khartoum.

In an interview with Qatar-based Al-Jazeera TV last November, the PIJ chief acknowledged that Iran is the main source of weapons used by his organisation.

This ill-intentioned meeting between the two criminals has surely proved that Sudan remains a state that sponsors terrorism. US and his allies including Israel should take Sudan serious this time round. It should be disciplined to behave well like a responsible nation.

"Birds of a feather flock together " is synonymous with "a terrorist receiving a terrorist". Those who disguise and kill in the name of Islam are surely enemies of God and his Prophet wa fi nar jahanem khalideen.

The Palastinans are under illegal occupation by Israel, they are entitled to fight for their freedom under int’l law. US and UK and EU in the past branded ANC and Nelson Mandela as terrorists.

      • 4 February 2013 14:27, by PT92

Terrorist visiting Terrorist, no hard feeling their clock has already started ticking down. At any zero hour, any of them will exiting earth terribly.
        Enjoy your last show!

Sudani, how can you claim to be the defender Palestinians from Israelis when you can’t even defense yourselves when Israel bombed your own city?

        • 4 February 2013 22:33, by sudani ana

We don’t have to be stronger than the bully to stand up to him. We are standing for what is right based on our values, even if we are not as powerful as Israel. At the end of the day US and Israel are nothing in front of almighty God.

  • 4 February 2013 07:41, by Lomiji

No wonder! birds of the same feather flock together. Shalah is a number one terrorist and so is Bhasir and all the cohorts in the NCP/SAF circus plus of-course Jalaby, North Sudan etc.
Watch out for the Mighty Arrow of Israel you sons of the self proclaimed dead, rotten prophet mohammed the most adulterous man of the time !!!

    • 4 February 2013 08:12, by Robot

be reminded, even if you walk upside down South Sudan is unbeatable and it has gone with her resources head high with pride, who else have defeated Arabs in such a big way apart from mighty South Sudanese????, you are wasting your time, better think twice, since we got our independence we have been defeating and humiliating you (Fake Arabs) simultaneously....

    • 4 February 2013 08:45, by Al-mezan

Bro, religion is a sensitive issue, take my brotherly advice, assume that our Lord Jesus Christ is defamed, how would we feel? See, those who loves their religion do not through insults to religion of others. I principally agree with you that" ALL TERRORISTS ARE MUSLIMS BUT NOT ALL MUSLIMS ARE TERRORIST". Prophet Mohd. as believed by Muslims is God Messenger, let respect others faith.

      • 4 February 2013 08:59, by Al-mezan

Dear all, I was responding to Lomiji comment in which he branded Prophet Mohammed (PAUH) as "the most adulterous of the time" which is so defamatory. Yes, we fought the Arab who were Muslims, but not all Muslims fought us. I remember when Dr. John Garang got a huge munitions from Saudia by that time he was nicknamed by northers as Dinka Nej- an area somewhere near Mecca

        • 4 February 2013 09:32, by Robot

So sorry, thxs for your brotherly advice, i think he (Lomiji) did that out of emotions though we should stick to ethics of mature writing.

          • 4 February 2013 09:38, by Al-mezan

You are much welcomed, brother Robot, God bless you

            • 4 February 2013 14:52, by Lomiji

He who doubts that all muslims are terrorists is a terrorist himself ! I stand by what I have written that mohammad was the most diabolic and adulterous man of the time ! So, who ever follows him, is also a killer and adulterous ! If you are vexed by this press release, then you better go and hang on a tomato tree ! Period !

              • 4 February 2013 21:29, by Al-mezan

Heartless people usually turn well-wishers into enemies. I can’t belame you , may be that is the way you grew up. I am not a terrorist nor do I share faith with pple you say are terrorist, but our constitution respects all religions and no one except psychiatric patients can be above that. I wish if you can define the world terrorist .

          • 4 February 2013 10:22, by EES Kingmaker

Why backing down to world-class terrorists who only exploit religion for their selfsih ambitions? The visit is aimed to reinforce and bolster Palestinian group Sudan-based terrorist activities. By the way the group is currently based in Arkuwait, not far from Port Sudan. I expect Isreal to bomb them again and pursue other hideouts.
