Sudanese army eyes Russian weapons
Oct 19, 2005 (KAZAN) — A Sudanese military delegation headed by deputy chief of staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces, Lt-Gen Mohamed Abdelgadir Nasreldin, is visiting Tatarstan.
According to the Russian Tatar-Inform news agency, the Sudanese delegation visited today the Kazan Helicopter Plant and the Kazan Optical Mechanical Plant, producing night vision devices.
Tomorrow 20 October, they will sign a contract on aircraft supplies with the Kazan Helicopter Plant and visit the Kazan Motor-Building Production Association manufacturing car engines, the Gorkiy Shipbuilding Plant as well as the Sergo yard in the city of Zelenodolsk and the Sergo plant producing ammunition.
On Friday 21 October, the delegation will spend the whole day at the KamAZ lorry maker in Naberezhnyye Chelny.
