Sudan, Turkey to boost police cooperation
Feb 17, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Sudanese Interior Ministry is keen on enhancing cooperation ties with Turkish counterpart, said Interior Minister, Al Zubair Bashir Taha.
The Minister made the remark on Friday in a meeting with the visiting Turkish Security director genera.
20,000 policemen are alert around the clock to fight terrorism with all its manifestations, said the Minister. The Minister called for further training on civil registry, drug control, and administrative work.
The Turkish guest has conveyed Taha greetings of the Turkish counterpart and invited him to visit Turkey.
In a meeting with police director general, Gen. Majoub Hassan Saad, the visiting delegation has appreciated and pledged support to the Sudanese police in order to carry their tasks as duly.
