Arab League supports efforts towards peace in Sudan, secretary general

CAIRO, Nov. 06, 2003 — Arab League Secretary-General Amr Musa has said his organization is concerned with and is supporting efforts being made towards peace in Sudan. He said the league had been part of all efforts being made for peace in Sudan through its role as an observer.

Musa spoke about the role of the league in the reconstruction of the south [Sudan] and the areas affected by war through development projects in which the league took part as well as the [league] fund which was established for that purpose.
