Defence minister to leave for China, India on 3 December

KHARTOUM, Dec 02, 2003 — The minister of defence, Maj-Gen Bakri Hasan Salih, will tomorrow, Wednesday, leave for China and India, leading a high- ranking military delegation on a visit from 4-16 December [date as heard].

An official source at the Armed Forces’ General Command said in a statement to the Sudanese news agency, SUNA, the talks between the defence minister and the military leadership in both China and India was aimed at promoting military cooperation and enhancing the capability of the armed forces in the fields of equipment and training.
