Sudan to host conference of Chinese-Arab relations

Nov 25, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Sudanese capital, Khartoum, is to host on November 28 the conference of the Chinese-Arab relations, under the auspices of Vice President Ali Osman Taha.

Secretary General of the Council for International People’s Friendship (CIPF), a pro-ruling party structure, Ahmed Abdelrahman said at the regular press forum of the official SUNA Saturday that Khartoum was chosen at the initiative of the Arab League according to the resolutions of Beijing conference.

He pointed out that the conference aims at consolidating the relations of Arab peoples with China besides strengthening the joint political, economic and social ties.

He added that a great number of Arab associations would participate in the conference, top of them the Arab League.
