Ethiopia, Namibia sign air transport agreement

October 13, 2007 (ADDIS ABABA) — The agreement was signed between Ethiopia civilization authority director Mesfin fikru and Namibia’s transport and communication vice chief ambassador Eylia akwake, here in Addis.
The air transport agreement signed between the two nations did not set any limit to passenger number nor did it set to the freight to be transported on both sides.
The agreement is believed to limit the over tax paid by both air liners.
After the agreement, Ethiopian civilization director. Mesfin fikru said “the new agreement will enable to further strengthen political, cultural, tourism and economic ties b/n the two nations.”
“It further creates a better ground to the airliners effort to broaden their flight lines mesfin” added
The bi-lateral agreement was signed based on past agreement which aimed on boosting free air transport across the continent.
Namibia’s transport and communication vice chief, ambasader Eyalia in his side said” the agreement will boost tourism, trade and mutual co-operation between the two countries”
“It will also bring a speedy and successful air transport service” the Ambassador added.
