December 04th 2007 — We the undersigned Leaders of all SPLM Chapters in The United States of American do affirm and stand unified and in full support of H.E Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit First Vice President of The Republic of Sudan, President of The Government of Southern Sudan, Commander in Chief of SPLA and Chairman of SPLM in removing Mr. Telar Deng, former State Minister at the Presidency and newly appointed Minister of State at the Ministry of Justice and Mr. Aleu Ayieny Aleu former State Minister for the Interior from SPLM Membership permanently.

Salva Kiir Mayardit, Chairman of SPLM Party in taking the right and courageous decision of discipline which holds SPLM Members to the highest standards of accountability irrespective of their hierarchy within The SPLM Party. Any SPLM member in any part of the World must be accountable to his or her actions in the context of a well organized political Party of which SPLM is becoming. It is critical to hold every SPLM Member accountable to high ethical standards, code of Conduct and complete adherence to rules and regulations of the SPLM Party.
We, in the SPLM, are engaged in Nation-building which is not an easy task therefore, we must equip ourselves with the necessary political, social and economic capital to meet the challenges of the twenty first century. In a democracy, a government is legitimate via the voices of the people and also a government governs by the consent of the governed. We must build an informed and an educated society to be able to make informed decisions. There must be consequences for any unacceptable behavior within our Party.
In conclusion, we SPLM Leaders in The United States do strongly support H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit, Chairman of SPLM Party to proceed with confidence, leadership to take firm decisions in dealing with any issue that tends to disrupt, confuse, undermine and destroy our people’s Unity within SPLM and also deal with active SPLM individuals who are still issuing statements or engaged in unacceptable behaviors that undermine SPLM Party’s viability. Gone are the days of corrupt politics where by Government officials operate, maneuver as well as issue statements without accountability to their actions. In a democracy nobody should be above the law, equally we are saying no one is above SPLM to whom all SPLM Members are accountable. The bar of accountability has been established therefore let us prevent any deviation.

This is not profession, It’s just a half-bake ideology made by U.S- SPLM chapters to establish individuals political interest. We need to behave well to our brothers in manner that our enemy may not use it against us. The more we rally against ourselves that becomes regime tool against us.

Dear Brothers and sisters do not be happy with wrong procedure that has been taken by our beloved leader H.E Gen. Salva Kiir of removing the two Cdes for the party. H.E Gen. Salva did not really addressed the issue carefully due to the fact he was ill advice, by whom did not want the rules of law be respected. the Accused have the right to reject to some member in the committee that was appointed by the Chairman of the SPLM.If , we really been calling for justice and rules of law, Aleu and Telar are victims , as they have not been heard, this seem for those who are behind that know that some meembers of the investigating will be rejected, as a matter of basic rights of defence. H. E . Gen Salva did not follow very well the procedure. He has forgotten ,here also, to dismiss them from the SPLA, as the two are Brig.General , and of course dismiss them from Sudan, if H. E does not respect the basic rules of accused being an innocent person , and has a right of defence.

Have you guys lost your minds or what? Mr. Aleu Ayieny and Telar Ring Deng are good guys. They are the voice of the suffering people of South Sudan, and the good thing to do is to thank Telar and Aleu for their courage and open mindedness. Do you expect them to quite while things are getting out of hand in the so call SPLM and the missed up GOSS? Who is there in the SPLM to dismiss anyone? It is only the Political Bureau that decides, and even the political Bureau will have no courage to dismissed people like Aleu who have been fighting for the right of the people since the war start. Do you think they will give in only because of money? Do you think they will allow the opportunists to operate freely without being criticized? It is not the work of the president to decide who to be the member of the party, but peoples are free to joint SPLM as a party. The reason the war was fought by our forefathers was not to build individuals in power in south Sudan but to build the nation. If the opportunists thought they have grafted the chance, they are wrong! The president can dismiss you from the Government but not from the party. Thank you so much Aleu Ayieng and Telar Deng for not being just cowards. The absent of the SPLM from the GONU for two months is a weakness of Kiir leadership. If he was really a strong leader, why did he suspend his ministers while he stills a first vice president? Is this not a sign of greediness for power? What will SPLM gain from it? The GONU just pass a budget a day ago, what did Mr. Weak president do about? How does government pass the budget when 28 ministers from SPLM are absent? Shame on you Mr. President and those who just support your poor decisions because you gave those jobs and money to them! Who represented the ministries lead by the SPLM ministers during budgeting in the cabinet? If you were really a good leader, why did allowed Ishmael Konyi to destabilize the state of Jonglei? Konyi contributed negatively to the (SPLM) moment during war, and now you make him your security advisor! Salva Kiir, you’re an enemy of the people, and the people don’t know it now but they will know it. Were you collaborating with Konyi when he was GoS militia leader? If they learn your deadly record, you face it. Guys, you need to stand still to straight the situation in Sudan and the south in particular, and the people that will do it are courageous leaders like Aleu and Telar. Do you know why there is no development in South Sudan? The educated are ignore because of (fear) homophobia that these intellectuals are going to take away our leadership. Yet, the educated are not looking for ministerial jobs, but they simply want to pursue their careers. Everything in Juba is now channeled into two families of Riek Machar (Nuer sub-clan), and a simple uneducated Dinka sub-clan of Salva Kiir (of the president him), yet in 2004, he was lying to the public about corruption. Now in Juba, if a Sudanese American professor who have a desire to help his people go he will struggle without being told what to do, but if body guards of Riek and Kiir, who have failed in the US go, they are welcome with jobs and free government accommodations, yet we know they have nothing to contribute to our people. Riek and Kiir are spoiling the names of Nuer and Dinka in Juba. When there are a lot of educated Dinka and Nuer now adays, you find uneducated relatives of the president and the vice president in big offices, and the other tribes think Dinka and Nuer are not educated, but the truth, is that these are not there because they Dinkas and Nuer but simply because they are family members, and this why we are thank full Aleu and Telar for standing against this abuse power in Juba.
Please readers, the above press does not represent the views of SPLM Diaspora, but Riek body guards and those he bought with money. Which war has Ezekiel Gatkuoth ever fought in Sudan? He is just an opportunist who merges to the SPLM in 2002 after the peace has already started in Kenya. Who is he in this universe to question legitimate people like Aleu and Telar. Ezekiel himselve is making missed in DC, he has surrounded with relatives and (women) teenagers who did not know his questionable past. We need peace in south Sudan, and in order for peace to prevail, we need people who are capable of delivering services to our people, and Telar and Aleu are capable. The reason peace was sign was not for SPLM to sit idle in offices, but do work. Some months ago, Dr. Lam Akol was accused of doing his duties as a minister for foreign affairs. Was he expected to sit idle like the rest ministers? Was SPLM not to play role in the government?
It is a great shame to see people losing their minds like this!

Folks,
What took place is by far the best decision by our president since he took office. Beeing bold is to go aganist all odds in defense of the institution one is presiding thus; face the storm head on. Few more tough decisions from our president and we will crawn him a king in our hearts. What these traitors did was by far a treason punishable by death in some circles in Africa. Didn’t we see Fadhil Al Mahdi jailed privilously for four excruciating months. At least these traitors and many those further down the pipe are getting away with wrist slaps. They should have been prosecuted for insitement guaranteeing them some jail time. Mellowing with peoples sentiments can seem easy for those who are used to back-padding the leaders. Thank God we can now hold every leader accountable so they can learn to keep their mouth sealed and not release official statements unless delegated to do so by the wrightful authority.
