Delta Connection denies involvement in South Sudan crash

May 6, 2008 (JUBA) — The Kenyan registered Delta Connection denied that one of its aircrafts was crashed near Rumbek last week killing two senior officials in the government of Southern Sudan.

The minister of Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) affairs Lieutenant General Dominic Dim Deng’s plane came down on Friday 375 kilometres (around 220 miles) from Juba, killing everyone on board, including many army officers.

In an email received by Sudan Tribune, the Delta Connection dismissed any link with the crashed aircraft

“Delta Connection did not operate the crashed aircraft (5Y-Flx beechcraft 1900) nor was it a Delta Connection service.” the company said.

The aircraft was provided by Cem Air, a South African company, and operated by Flex air in Kenya. It was a South Sudan Air Connection service at the time of the crash, Delta Connection underlined.

The Sudan Tribune had reported that the crashed plane belongs to Delta Connection.

The plane went down Friday in a remote area of southern Sudan, killing 21 passengers and three crew members. Gabriel Changson Chan, the southern Sudanese minister of information, said that initial evidence indicates engine failure caused the crash.

Delta Connection denies involvement in South Sudan crash
What happen in Camroon two days ago? wasn,t the Kenyan plane which crash and killed 140 peaple? Your denial must be true but me alone i have to remind you to check your company. How can such incidents happen at the same time just two days after the crash from Rumbek.

Otherwise government of South Sudan must make sure that any operating company within South must be check bse there are some guys claims to be proffional engineers when they reach South Sudan and these might be the Sources for the Engine failure from now and then in the South alone.

My message to the Southern Government is that, Could you please try atleast to send some engineers to school for future rescue?.
