Activists urge solution for Darfur crisis during US presidency of Security Council
May 23, 2008 (NEW YORK) – Darfur activists organised a rally on Thursday at the US mission in the United Nations asking Bush administration to make the solution of Darfur crisis at the top of UN Security Council agendas during its June presidency.
Nearly 300 activists rallied in front of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations, calling on the Bush administration to make protecting the people of Darfur and promoting peace for Sudan the top U.S. priority for its presidency of the UN Security Council during the month of June.
Surrounded by banners covered in thousands of handprints collected from concerned citizens around the country, a delegation of leading advocates, including several Sudanese figures, delivered a statement of demands for immediate action to a representative of the U.S. Mission.
“In June, the administration should use all diplomatic and economic leverage necessary to overcome both the government of Sudan’s obstruction and all logistical roadblocks to the full deployment of the UN-led peacekeeping force for Darfur known as UNAMID,” said Gerald LeMelle, Executive Director of Africa Action.
Le Melle further urged President Bush to not normalize relations with Sudan government unless it Darfur peace keeping is fully in place and implement the north south peace agreement signed in 2005.

Please,I personnally have come to know that everyone in the world have faired Khartoum Government and this happens because they may think the war that has completely destroyed African in Sudan have less impact on their countries,take for example Britain who was the Sudan colony have totally shutdown her participation in Sudan’s problems leaving USA to stand on one leg but she was the one who explored Sudan both in manpower and natural resources in which she is now enjoying wealths and effort of developing their country with her new generation.
My dear partner,keep trying but I hope you will fail if you donot act on to cast the effect of endeavourance,they will treat you more as a toothless bulldog or an empty barrel which makes allot of noise that will create heart diseases.We know that Khartoum is dominated by Arabs terrorists from Afghanistan who has influenced Arabs of Sudan to spoil their Land like thier.
