The Kuwaiti daily newspaper Al-Rai reported on Tuesday that Meshaal had decided to relocate from Damascus where he lives to Khartoum following the progress made in the indirect talks between Syria and Israel.

The decision came after talks with the Syrian officials, the newspaper reported.

“The movement totally denies media reports saying that Khaled Meshaal has left Syria for Sudan” Hamas said in a statement issued today by one of its senior figures in Gaza Ismail Radwan.

“These reports are false” he added.

Meshaal, the chief of Hamas political bureau since March 2003, as well as some leaders of the Palestinian Islamic movement have been based in Syria for several years after they were expelled from Lebanon and Jordan.

He visited Sudan in early August to express solidarity with President Omer Al-Bashir after the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) requested an arrest warrant for the Sudanese leader over alleged war crimes.

Hamas is viewed as a radical movement due to its rejection of the ongoing peace process between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. The US designated Hamas as a terrorist organization.

Last May Israel and Syria May resumed indirect peace talks brokered by Turkey after an eight-year freeze. Syria was asked by Israel to sever ties with Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah militia.

In Khartoum, Mahjoub Fadl, a spokesman for Al-Bashir, said there was “no information” about reports suggesting that Meshaal had moved to Sudan.

Meshaal survived an assassination attempt in the Jordanian capital in 1997 by Israeli intelligence agents.

Two years later he was expelled from Jordan amid accusations that Hamas was threatening the kingdom’s security and stability.

Conflicting reports on Hamas leader relocating to Sudan from Syria
I advise to the Khartoum, “Please don’t accept the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas political leader Khalid Meshaal to be harbour him in the Sudan, because it will allowed Hezbullah from Labanon via Nigerian MEND into Sudan, the terrorist organization of Niger Delta with Syrian, Labanese, and Iranians who all work in West African terrorist organization. The Hezbullah will relocate into Sudan from Syria and West Africa, but it won’t allowed them in here in Sudan. The Khalid Meshaal is a puppet of Syrian dictator Bashar Assad. It is dangerous game into Sudan. Listen from Usama Bin-Laden, Sudan had harbour him, and after direct concerned was Al-Qaida presence in Sudan and result was many Iraqi was killed, and still killing by George W. Bush, the modern day of Alexander the Great who conquered Iran in few days and stop the breath of Persian Empire.
