Last May, the Government of Southern Sudan’s Investment Authority sets out a legal framework to guide potential investors in various sectors of investment opportunities and laws to regulate such investments.

The Framework guarantees protection of both foreign and national investors, which allows foreign investors to repatriate capital and profits from Southern Sudan.

Sectors highlighted for business potentials include, but not limited to, agriculture, energy, mining, industry, physical infrastructure, transport, housing, animal resources, hotels, health, education, etc.

Good move, but this must not be done for the personal interest like how the petrol stations where allowed to build in Juba in wrong locations which are too close to the residents. On the other hand we would like to see the improvement of the security system in the Southern Sudan government.

Particularly those of Lake state for legally killing, jungle for corruption, Warrap for legally attack, Western Equatoria for LRA, Central Equatoria for LRA,grabbers (dinkas) and Uganda cattle riders, Eastern Equatoria for Kenya cattle riders and media plus many more in the Southern Sudan inexperience dude, eventually we don’t expect any of those foreign investors to come and get killed or living with any fear within South.

We cannot talk of freedom or inviting business people when there is terror within the region (states), because with good security and proper management we will see that the Southern Sudan region will just develop in seconds not even taking long, for the fact that South has every resources and minerials which are desired by the worldwide industries.

Don’t invite anyone but just improve your capacity and you will see that the beauty, management and benefit that the people of Southern Sudan are getting will attrack the western campanies to invest in Southern Sudan.

Yes this is what we expect from you. make constructive criticism and make suggestions that can challenge and help the government to perform better. Like in this case, it is true the government must improve the security situation in Southern Sudan and people should be receptive to encourage investiment all over the Southern Sudan
