Drone strike on Kosti medicine warehouse injures three
April 1 2026 (KOSTI) – At least three people, including a pharmacist, were injured on Wednesday when a drone suspected to belong to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted a medicine warehouse in Kosti, White Nile State.
White Nile State has recently seen an escalation in drone attacks carried out by the RSF against military and civilian sites. One of the deadliest incidents involved the shelling of the Shikiri school, which killed several students and drew widespread condemnation.
Local sources told Sudan Tribune that a “strategic” drone fired three missiles at various parts of Kosti, causing widespread panic among residents.
Sources reported that one missile hit a large medicine warehouse, destroying the facility and injuring three people. The same drone also targeted a water truck near the town of Al-Layyah in White Nile State.
Intelligence reports suggest that the aerial strikes hitting towns and villages in White Nile State are launched from RSF military bases located within Ethiopian territory.
