22 counted dead in recent clashes in Wulu of Lakes state

June 10, 2009 (RUMBEK) — Tribal clashes since May 31 between the Jur tribe of Wulu County and Dinka Agar from Rumbek East have left at least 22 people confirmed dead and a number of people injured.
There are also confirmed reports of vehicles being targeted on the route between Mvolo and Wulu which have resulted in at least 7 deaths; the motive behind this appears to be revenge sought by angry family whose relatives had been killed recently following the death of a state official, Sabit Nochola Majok, who was ambushed and killed on the road in Rumpanbuolriak forest by unknown gunmen.
Late Mr. Sabit worked in the Lakes state Ministry of Local Government and Law Enforcement and he was said to be the sole university graduate of Bahr-El-Ghazal among the Wulu Jur-beli community.
As a result of the revenge attacks, one woman was shot dead nearby Wulu in a mini-bus last week, among others killed.
“At present, humanitarian vehicles have not been the subject of any attacks but they have to pay attention in case of ambush, especially with regards to the UN local employees’ safety,” said a CID police personnel.
Since clashes initiated on June 1 between Rumbek East County youth of Agar and Wulu inhabitants, the roads linking Wako, Mvolo, and south of Rumbek are found to be risky as the result of hijackings of cars for the purpose of revenge.
According to SPLM information officer Jamal Kakaya, the situation is now coming back to normal since SPLM leaders launched a condemnation of both sides involved in the incident.
Kakaya himself is a mixed blood whose mother belongs to Rumbek East and whose father belonged to Wulu. He advocates for youth from both sides to stay at peace with each other so that the upcoming general election can be contested as the battlefield for victory for New Sudan.
Last week over 600 Internally Displaced People (IDPs) appeared in Mathiang primary school compound, most of whom are children and women from four chiefdoms of Dinka Agar of Rumbek East County.
The new Deputy Governor and a Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement, David Nok Marial, is establishing his presence in the tense areas of Lakes state.
“I don’t need more death in my second term now,” affirmed Nok last week when he was talking to Dinka IDPs in Mathiang primary school, which is south of Pacong Payam of Rumbek East County.

This crap community of junglese has become a big headach to the entire people in South, and causing emotional pain to those whoe concern about peace and unity of Southerners, you dinkas are monkeys who doesn’t know when and how to hervast. Just like monkeys in a jungle who cause distruction to th environment. Last week when Wani Igga was in your villages, you pay deaf ears to all the good news that he was brought to you, and today he had left for your cholera villages then you are back to hervast the garden. This tribe of dinkas and junglese is making a bad reputation of GOSS and South as whole national and worldwide. The World will never pay any respect to this government and its people. The people out there will see us like we are living the same misearable life like you crazy dinkas.
Am sick of you and tired of your barbaric culture. Killing is yours, madness is yours, stealing is yours, stupidness is yours, crazness is yours and almost everything is yours. What a crap community in South Sudan. Don’t deny your madness. Your GOSS always sign millions of $$$ for development but all this disappear into his pocket. The Equatorians like Wani Igga always talk to you about living in peace but you turn this into another messive killing. What can you realy deny if you just prove everything to the World by yourselves. A lot of $$ have being wasted in jungle state, training of fake police while the police of dinkas by themselves turn aganist the innocent jur beli, murle and nuer. My question is ” do you make destruction in South just because the leadership is in your hand or there is something behind your mind” if because of leadership then we will see how far this Kiir will exist as a head of GOSS, nothing is hard only going by ladder is the hardest of all. One life is better to disappear and leave the rest of lives in peace. God knew that you are criminals that why your leaders never exist for long, Garang die and left the people in peace, but now I see that more problems are still existing under this Kiir.
I think that if someone like Riek, Lam Akol, Wani Igga and Pagan Amum has to be GOSS South will not face such problems. We have wise people who are suppose to rule not your illiterate money and food lovers. Let your Kiir find his way to Khartoum if not he will get the outcomes in short time. Because you dinkas are only like by arabs and you like them as well, the fact is that you have touched every community in South with bad reputition, murle, nuer, Equatorians and now jur beli. What you are doing to us in South is so painful like sitting on nail. Lets pray that 2011 gets closer and you will see the real storm in South.

On such situations of insecurity and continuoes tribal ramdon killings; is Dr. Lam Akol not right when he mentioned that; “the current SPLM is heading to the collapse, bankruptcy of current leadership and its failure to implement good governance and democratic practice in Southern Sudan and has lost direction and failed to present a coherent programme in Government for both the South and nationally,”?

Iam really very sorry for you because you wasted alot of your effort to write nonsence in the public web site.
You are acoward and foolish who wanted to cause problem among good southerners like Pagan Amum and the rest whom you have mentioned that if they were the ones rulling in the south then there would have been no problem.
Now if you don,t know that they are in power then i will narrate for you, Wani igga is the speaker of the south sudan,s legislative assembly,Pagan Amum is the splm secretary general and Dr.Riek Machar is the vice president of th south sudan goverment,How do you wanted them to be in power and they already ruling.
Try to find out critically the difference between the dinka not by generalising them like your stupid words that you said.
If we talk of death of our leaders ,you are not the causer of Garang,s death it was his time to leave the world,Salva Kiir will stay for long as he wanted and if he leaves power then another dinka will take over the position of presdinecy because we fought inorder to get this position not to give to cowards who were in Uganda and Kenya then after the war now you claim to be south sudanese.

You people have really spoiled the name of the Dinka communities and you are even minority group of Dinka than Aweil and Abyei,We actually thought civilization passed throught that rought of yours to reach other dinkas like in warrap and Aweil in which no internal conflicts are being encouraged by the chiefs and community elders and the state government,I can,t blame the governor of lake state and his goverment because you are type of human beings who can not be compared to animals,if you are really normal ,How many conflicts have been solved by Goss in you area.
You fight among your selves and if goverment sends the troops or forces to ease problems then you unite again and turn against them.
Please try to change,be like us in Aweil,we are very brave and we don,t practice it internally but to our enemies.

What these Agar community are doing against a weak neighbour of Wulu community continueously is unacceptable because these people were they one choose to remains with Agar people in Lake State thinking that it was gonna be peaceful & healthy for them which had now turn into a nightmare and leave their Mvolo colleagues to go to Equatoria,Students & traders of Agar community even Nuer people who always uses this road of Wulu-Mvolo to Rumbek must now considering other options of transport means otherwise the risks revenge…!!!
