Sudan says Arab Spring a boon for Islamists

December 11, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – A Sudanese official has expressed the pleasure of his country’s government with the series of uprisings that swept the Arab world in 2011, saying it ended the isolation of the Islamic rule in Sudan.

The Sudanese government, which has been in power since 1989, largely survived the contagion of revolutions which toppled long-serving governments in the country’s immediate neighbors of Egypt and Libya since the start of this year. It only had to deal with a handful of small protests staged by youth groups seeking to emulate their counterparts.

Mustafa Osman Isma’il, an adviser to Sudan’s president Al-Bashir, on Saturday said that Sudan sees a good omen in the recent developments in the Arab and Islamic world as well as the Arab Spring revolutions led the youth.

According to the Sudanese official, who was addressing a rally in Al-Matama town in the country’s northern state of Nile River, the Arab Spring had ended his country’s isolation as the only Islamic regime.

Isma’il further said that the Arab Spring revolutions would boost the Islamic projects in the Arab world in general and in his country in particular.

There is evidence that the post Arab Spring era is giving rise to Islamist parties.

In Tunisia, where it all started in January, the elections for the constituent assembly in October saw the Islamist Nahdah Party winning the majority of the seats. Islamist parties in Egypt appear to be heading towards victory in the ongoing parliamentary elections.

SAM, THE INTENTION OF YOUR REGIME SINCE 1950S HAS BEEN TO ‘ETHNIC CLEANSE’ ALL THOSE WHO ARE OF AFRICAN DESCENT BY BUTCHERING AND HUNTING THEM DOWN LIKE RATS BUT UNFORTUNATELY, IT HASN’T WORKED AND INSTEAD JUST ENDED UP AS A SPLIT OF THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. I DON’T KNOW WHAT ELSE WILL MAKE ARABS WIPE OUT SOUTH SUDAN OF THE MAP IF IT DIDNT WORK FOR NEARLY OVER 50 YRS. I KNOW THIS IS WHAT YOU GUYS…..

Somehow these losers always put themselves at the realm of any major issues that are far from their narrow outlook. The central cause of the so-called Arab Spring does not even come closer to picture Sudan is trying to draw. If anything Sudan is currently facing Arab Spring of its own that has nothing to do with Islam, but with dictatorship.

Sam, I am sorry , to say this is wrong! It is not Islamic to whip anybody off. Islam doesn’t belong to anybody , it belongs only to God, not Arabs, Sudanese,Pakistani or even muslimsPeace is one of the names of Allah or God.Killing one person unlawfully is like killing all human beings, that what prophit Mohammed teaches us! We have to be patient and be driven by anger or hatred.
