19 students graduate from W. Bahr el Ghazal University
January 15, 2015 (WAU) – A total of 19 students were awarded degrees from the Catholic university in South Sudan’s Western Bahr Ghazal state on Thursday.
The graduates from the institution’s faculty of agriculture and environmental sciences had completed five years. Three of the 19 students who graduated were females.
The governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal state, Rizik Zackaria Hassan praised the Catholic-founded university for improving the quality of education in the region.
“It is only through taking our children to school that they go for future studies,” he said.
All the 19 graduates will get immediate employment at the ministry for agriculture and forestry in Western Bahr el Ghazal state, added Hassan.
The university, which started with 50 students six years ago, currently has 1,350.
