In a statement to Sudanese Media Centre (SMC), Minister of Agriculture Majzoub al-Khalifah Ahmad said the points included the improvement of the situation in Darfur and the assistance of the AU, which is striving to muster support from the UN, the EU and other countries to abort the US draft resolution , the implementation of the peace agreement signed between the government and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), so as to prevent the USA and opposition parties from weakening its political aspect and implementing it at the scheduled time.

Other points include constant contacts with US public opinion centres so as to reflect the real situation in the country, constant dialogue with friendly states like China, Russia, Algeria and others, delivering a message to the UN Security Council on Sudan’s stance, as well as shaping an international public opinion to exert pressure on the USA with regard to this matter.
