November 28, 2025 (AL-DABBA) Sudanese Prime Minister Kamil Idris pledged on Friday that members of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) responsible for atrocities in Darfur would be held accountable.

Speaking at the Al-Afad camp in Northern State, where hundreds of families sought refuge following the RSF’s seizure of El Fasher, Idris described the violence in Darfur as unprecedented, stating that it surpassed war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Rights groups and media reports have accused the RSF of committing atrocities against El Fasher residents, including ethnically motivated killings, rape, and abductions.

Idris promised that perpetrators would not escape justice and asserted that the war was in its final stages, predicting a victory for the army.

He added that the government would address shortages in displacement camps, prioritizing education for those displaced from Darfur and Kordofan alongside the provision of shelter, food, water, and medical care.

The Prime Minister directed the Minister of Education to visit the camp immediately to arrange for the establishment of schools and ensure that necessary supplies are in place.

Al-Afad camp, located east of Al-Dabba, hosts approximately 10,000 displaced persons from North Darfur and North Kordofan, with thousands of other families scattered across other localities in the state.
