February 11, 2026 (EL OBEID) – Rapid Support Forces (RSF) drones attacked three sites in South and North Kordofan on Wednesday, including a Quranic school, killing at least one student and wounding several others. Simultaneously, the army targeted RSF positions near Bara in North Kordofan.

Local sources told Sudan Tribune that at least one student was killed and about 18 others sustained various injuries when an RSF drone targeted the Sheikh Ahmed al-Badawi Quranic complex in the town of Al-Rahad, North Kordofan.

Sources reported that drones also attacked civilian targets in Tandalti village, west of Al-Rahad, causing civilian casualties. Drones further targeted the Ali al-Karrar Secondary School in Dilling, South Kordofan, destroying large parts of the educational facility.

Military sources said Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) drones continued to strike fixed and mobile RSF targets in and around the town of Bara. The drones also attacked an RSF vehicle convoy in the town of Taiba in South Kordofan.

For nearly a week, the RSF has continued to target Al-Rahad and several vital sites in North Kordofan, primarily the Um Rawaba-Al-Rahad-El Obeid national road, as well as the Dilling-Kadugli road in South Kordofan.

The escalation is part of attempts to sever these strategic arteries and isolate the region. This coincides with attacks on goods trucks, humanitarian convoys, and medical facilities, disrupting trade and supplies and putting pressure on civilians by reducing the flow of basic commodities.

This surge in violence follows the army and its allied forces successfully breaking the siege on Kadugli and Dilling in South Kordofan after heavy clashes with a coalition of the RSF and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM). These operations reconnected the two cities to North Kordofan, allowing for the resumption of humanitarian aid to thousands of civilians who had been besieged for nearly three years.

On Tuesday, the army announced the destruction of advanced RSF drones and air defence systems in Darfur and Kordofan as part of a broader move to dismantle the paramilitary group’s defensive and offensive capabilities.
