RSF drone strikes kill two in South Kordofan

February 13, 2026 (KADUGLI) – At least two people were killed and four others wounded on Friday in drone strikes launched by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the al-Kurgal area in South Kordofan State, according to a local medical group.

The strikes targeted a strategic zone connecting the cities of Dilling and Kadugli, the state capital. Field sources told Sudan Tribune that an RSF drone attacked army positions south of Kadugli, firing multiple missiles that triggered several explosions in the vicinity of the city.

The Sudan Doctors Network confirmed the casualties in a statement, noting that some of the injured remain in critical condition. The group described the incident as a direct attack on a civilian-populated area amid deteriorating humanitarian and health conditions in the region.

The network stated that the targeting of civilians constitutes a “full-fledged crime” and demonstrates a dangerous disregard for innocent lives and international conventions. It held the RSF leadership fully responsible for the attack, describing it as part of a pattern of repeated violations against non-combatants in various regions.

The medical group called on the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take a firm stance against the ongoing violence and to increase pressure for the protection of civilians.
