Sudanse medical group says RSF drone strike kills three at Sennar hospital

February 15, 2026 (SENNAR) – A drone strike by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on a hospital in Sudan’s Sennar state killed three people and wounded seven others on Sunday, a local medical group said, the latest in a series of attacks on health facilities this month.

The strike on Al-Mazmoum Hospital in the country’s southeast is the fourth reported attack on a medical facility in February. Earlier this month, the RSF launched three attacks on health centers in the Kordofan region that killed more than 30 people, according to the World Health Organization.

“The RSF carried out a drone attack on Al-Mazmoum Hospital in Sennar state this evening, resulting in the death of three people and the injury of seven others, including a medical staff member,” the Sudan Doctors Network said in a statement.

The network said the targeting of health institutions represents a “flagrant violation” of international laws prohibiting attacks on medical facilities and personnel. It called on the international community to hold RSF leadership accountable and ensure the protection of medical teams.

The RSF has increased its drone use this month, particularly in the Kordofan and Blue Nile regions. Attacks have increasingly hit civilian infrastructure, including markets, schools, power stations, and a World Food Programme aid convoy.

Monitoring group Insecurity Insight reported on Feb. 9 that it documented 689 incidents of violence against healthcare in Sudan between April 2023 and December 2025. The group attributed more than two-thirds of those incidents to the RSF and noted that 175 healthcare workers have been killed since the conflict began.
