Kiir makes first official visit to Japan
May 29, 2013 (JUBA) – South Sudanese president Salva Kiir Mayardit left Juba for his first official visit to Japan on Wednesday, responding to the invitation extended to him by the Japanese prime minister

South Sudanese foreign affairs and international cooperation minister, Nhial Deng Nhial, told reporters on Wednesday that the visit will strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two nations as well as exploring ways to promote investment opportunities for Japanese companies.
