Priority to services, peace implemetation, Sudan’s Kiir says

Oct 24, 2005 (JUBA) — Sudanese First-Vice President of and President of the Government of Southern Sudan Lt. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit has directed the ministers of the news Government of Southern Sudan to give top priority for provision of services to the citizens and implementation of the peace agreement.

Lt. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit congratulated the new ministers, who took oath of office in Juba, stressing the importance of giving concern to the issues of resettlement of the IDPs and improving services.

He stressed the importance of transparency.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Riek Machar, reiterated his confidence in the ministers, who took oath of office, to implement the peace agreement.
