Egypt’s FM discusses Sudan issues with British envoy
Dec 14, 2005 (CAIRO) — Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit on Wednesday had talks with British envoy to Darfur peace talks Alan Goulty.
The talks with Goulty, who doubles as his country’s ambassador in Tunis, touched on the necessity that the international community work for settling the Darfur issue in a balanced way and away from exerting any pressures on any party to the conflict.
Aboul Gheit underlined at the meeting the importance of the role that can be played by Sudan’s neighbouring countries to push up efforts for reaching a peaceful settlement to the problem.
