Sudan’s President arrives in Madina
May 9, 2008 (JEDDAH) — Sudanese president is Saudi Arabia to perform ritual of Umrah (minor pilgrimage) and visit the Holy Mosque of the Prophet Muhammad.
Omar Al-Bashir, had arrived to Jeddah on May 5.
Today, he and his accompanying delegation arrived to Al-Madina where the mosque of Prophet Muhammad.
He is expected to arrive to Khartoum tomorrow.
Al-Bashir The Sudanese President described this year’s Hajj as excellent, praising the great projects executed in the Holy Places particularly the new Jamarat Bridge project.
He lauded strong and deep-rooted relations between the two countries, noting that the Kingdom has supported Sudan at political and international levels.
