    Good development
GOS and GOSS should ensure that all other contentious issues are also handled amicably specially South Kordufan and Blue Nile States’ conflicts plus border issues.
All Sudanese people need peace and no one should deny them that opportunity to live in peace.

My hope is that this agreement will be implement and not being exposed to abortion like any other agreements. And I want to thanks the two parties for reaching taking the situation to this end. hoping that the citizens of Abyei may go back to their homes in Abyei until the referendum comes. there is nothing that can be solve through war, only chaos and disaster. May the same agreement happen in south Kordofan and Darfur regions.

Even it is too late , it is still great. I feel very sorry for the lost lifes from all sides , for the unnecessary blood shed, for the tension and lost of the much needed resources , for the sufferings of the poor, the child , the needy and the ill.

Though it is most welcomed, it is still a big shame that we couldn’t reach such a very simple agreement, which could have been done in 10 minutes over a cup of tea in a an amicable and friendly enviorment and a good faith and due respect to human life from the south and the north.

Let us support peace and refrain from hatred wheather it is political, ratial , ethenic or tribal. Hatred will burn us all, will ruin us all. The people of Sudan south or north are going to live close to each other for centures to come, let us offer them hope, love and peace. We can still have our differences which should not stop us from respecting each other.

May god bless those who work sincerely for peace among our people. May he give peace to those who lost their life in his eternal heaven and console those who lost their loved ones.He is the most great and most graceful.

Peace and only will always prevail.

I think you should be put in charge of Sudan Islamic Shura Council (that highest council of Islamic scholars in Sudan) to help in un-radicalizing extremists in Khartoum and North Sudan elsewhere.
You message is appealing and if all northerners had repented like you in 2005 and begin to see a bigger picture of Sudan, Sudan might had not been divided now.
Work hard for peace in order for North Sudan to remain united.

Khartoum establishment must now be asked to why they sent gamgs of soldiers to loot, maim, displace and clear Abyei of its ancestral inhabitants. They should not walk free over all crimes committed in South Sudan, Abyei, Nubalands, and Darfur. Yhey must pay for being military criminals.

What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now
south sudan will be a better place on earth.

    Hi all,

I’m very cynical of this latest agreement! And I belived it’s not going to hold either. And this is something of great concerns to any of us, since we all knows their true colours. Otherwise, it’s good for calming the situation right now instead of the status quo.

“Too many agreements dishonoured” in Sudan. I hope it will hold, or Bashir may decide to violate it before Ethiopian troops are deployed in Abyei. I don’t trust paper agreements in Sudan. Other actions must be applied.

    Mohamed,

I thank and appreciate your optimistic attitude, some southerners who know nothing about northerners safe the rumors they hear from others don’t believe that their are good people in the north Sudan along side the bad ones, as it is also in the south. What we need in order to get along well as neighbors is clear communication and understanding. I appreciate your comments on human nature because some believe that their people are as good as angels which is not true. humanity is weak in many areas that’s why we need each other’s affirmation on whatever we do. I hope that peace seekers in the north and the south will work hard to achieve peace in the region. That’s the only way we can advance in development and see clearly the corrupt leaders who do not deserve to hold positions in the south. Thank you.

I DONT IF YOU GUYS CAN READ OR NOT.

But the agreement clearly states that Abyei is part of the North –

‘The 1 january 1956 line between the North and South will be inviolate, unless changes as a result of the outcome of the referendum ….’

Inviolate – i.e not violated. So its clear, when South Sudan seceeds – Abyei will not.
