IGAD ministerial council holds meeting in Addis Ababa
ADDIS ABABA, July 06, 2004 (SUNA) — The Ugandan Minister of Foreign Affairs chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign of the Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in Addis Ababa Sunday evening.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, told SUNA that the meeting discussed the Ethiopian – Eritrean dispute, the peace process in Sudan and the situations in Darfur.
Dr. Ismail explained that the meeting decided to hold the next IGAD summit in Kenya in October as well as IGAD ministerial meeting on July 15 in Kenya to REVIEW the last phase of the peaceful settlement in Somalia.
