Salva Kiir in talks with SPLM leaders in Juba
Sept 10, 2005 (JUBA) — The First Vice-President and President of the southern Sudan government, Lt-Gen Salva Kiir Mayardit, yesterday held talks with Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM)leaders in Juba.
The talks were aimed at finding ways to fill the vacuum created by there being no constitution in the south, and finalizing the process of naming governors for the southern Sudan states, as well as forming judicial councils.
Salva Kiir is expected to hold talks with representatives of the World Bank and USAID in Juba town to discuss the implementation of the resolutions reached at the Oslo donor conference concerning support for the development process in the south.
