Criticism of national unity government is unfair – Alor
Sept 27, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — The Minister of the Council of Ministers, Deng Alor, has described as not objective the criticism of some political forces to the national unity government.
Alor said in a press statement to SUNA that the government was established in implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), which has set rates of participation of 52% to the National Congress, 28% to the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), 14% to the northern parties and 6 % to the southern parties.
The minister explained that the government works in full understanding and harmony to boost confidence, which started since the outset of negotiations of Machakos and Naivasha.
He expressed his view that the national unity government is moving ahead toward the future with firm steps to prop up the peace process.
