Jan_Pronk_UN.jpgNov 10, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — The minister of cabinet affairs, Deng Alor, received at his office Wednesday the special representative of the UN secretary-general in Sudan, Jan Pronk, and reviewed the importance of involving the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) in the coming Abuja meetings as part of the delegation of the government of the national unity.

Alor has affirmed participation of the SPLM in the coming session of negotiations in Abuja. The meeting also reviewed formation of commissions and the step made so far in this respect.

The meeting has touched on the issue of the voluntary return of the displaced citizens to the southern states, as Pronk said that the UN would embark on a project in this regard in early next year.
