Jordanian company discovers gold in Sudan’s Nahr al-Nil State
Nov 25, 2005 (KHARTOUM) — A Jordanian company operating in field of gold exploration announced that it has discovered commercial quantities of gold in Nahr al-Nil State and that it is planning to begin its production and marketing operations at the beginning of January 2006.
Speaking at the Investment Forum of the Arab Businessmen in al-Jazirah State, the ambassador of Jordan to Sudan, Ahmad Ibrahim, described Jordan’s experience in various domains of investment as pioneering experience that opened wider horizons in the spheres of industry, transport and agriculture.
He further touched on the commercial activity between the Sudan and Jordan, saying that the movement of businessmen in the two countries has drastically increased in the previous period.
He pointed out that endeavours were made to increase flights between Amman and Khartoum in order to facilitate transport between the two countries.
