Jan 26, 2006 (RUMBEK) — A crowd of Sudanese locals gathered recently on a dusty street in Rumbek town, southern Sudan, to watch a graduation ceremony for police first step for comprehensive peace agreement (CPA).
Depicting the concerns of children about being punished at school and in their house by the relatives and commons violence are going on in the village, this course the police to be trained in Rumbek as well first(Dupa Al-Wula).

The police director general of prison Mr. Agasio Akol Tong appeal to the graduation to swear in if they are committed to do their duties on front of governor of lake state Mr. John Lat Zechariah and the public really. They really mass have witness the sworn in of their graduations officers and they have confirm that work is now in the new chapter today since peace agreement was been signed in Nairobi Kenya.
When the swearing is over, they whole really mass staring saying SPLA Oyee !! SPLM Oyee !! New Police Oyee !!. It seem the Lake State Rumbek were been facing some terrible condition which are unsolved by the local police on ground already.
The number which graduated this morning was 49 generally while 30 are women and men are 19 within they number graduated. According Mr. Director General Agasio Akol Tong added that we graduate you these groups including those women who are here today. Your graduation with these women doesn’t main that those women within are our women, no it is that to stop the women crime in the prison here in Southern Sudan and in Sudan generally.
Women crime are growing greatest here in the region and men are going to minimizes themselves in crime, since peace was been signed in Kenya January 9, 2005 men have stopped killing and this was the great challenges that we men were been facing.
According to Chief Mr. Dhalbeny Makuer Gol, say that were being doing a great jump by doing nothings at our house as well women have been gave no right at they houses, and today women appear here as they are going to takeover everything in the Lake State. It is the right step for human too, to have women in the judiciary court of appeal. To have women in the street of violence and to stop the crimes of their children, as well we know all of us that military solution is not going with the civil law.
The commissioner for the Rumbek central county Mr. Abraham Makoi Bol, say that government of today is not like the government of before, it is the government with some commons room to fight the crimes, stop the violence’s, stop the clan/tribes crimes in they community. We have they powers now to stop every criminal person though he ran to Khartoum, the Khartoum government will send him back to us.
He added also that, this is not the time for a person to kill your man and run out in the country, there is nowhere to run now because the government of South Sudan has locked out door without failure. It need all criminal people to kneel down on the government table and asked the permission of forgiveness if you have committed crime in your territories.
The governor for Lake State Mr. John Lat clouded that, it is also good that this graduation is a good signed to graduate with tear drum, because it will show the government of Sudan that we are ready for peace in Southern Sudan.
The police in Southern Sudan have many commons error need to be solved, but it need enough time for me the governor of Lake State to run up those programme, as well our police have no enough cars to captures criminal person went one escape in the jail. We need to have freedom and justice when there are no crimes in this Lake State of Rumbek as well they whole of New Sudan. Policemen are therefore the eyes for the poor people and the government in the region, but now we don’t have.
