Ethiopia desirous to share parliamentary experience with Sweden

Mar 1, 2006 (ADDIS ABABA) — Speaker of House of Peoples’ Representatives Council, Ambassador Teshome Toga said Ethiopia is desirous to share experience and work together with Sweden.

Teshome said Ethiopia is desirous to share experience with Sweden, which he said, has a long time experience in democratic parliamentary system, the official ENA reported.

Teshome made the remark on Wednesday while holding discussions with the First Deputy Speaker of the Swedish parliament, Per Westerberg here on Wednesday.

He said encouraging activities are underway in building democracy in the country.

Teshome briefed Westerberg on the occasion about the current situations in the country.

Westerberg said on his part that Sweden is desirous to strengthen trade ties with Ethiopia.
