Sudan’s Kiir to visit Jordan next week
May 17, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — First Vice-President Salva Kiir on Sunday 21 May will leave for Jordan on a three-days official visit during which he will discuss the Sudanese-Jordanian ties with Jordanian King Abdallah II.
According to Sudanese Media Center, Kiir’s delegation will include Minister of Foreign Affairs Lam Akol and Minister of Cabinet affairs Tilar Deng, in addition to a number of ministers from the government of the south.
The vice president will also discuss possibilities of Jordan’s investment in southern Sudan.
Kiir is expected to visit certain Arabic countries in the future to attract investors to South Sudan.
