Atrocities committed by Ethiopian soldiers in Western Somali (Ogaden)
June 5, 2006 — The Ethiopian troops in Western Somali (Ogaden), has profile filled with different inhuman acts like killings, kidnappings, jailing without charges, Collective punishments, burning villages, demolishing houses, confiscating the properties and also abducting the innocents form their homes in midnights but it has increased recently by deploying more troops to exercise utmost of such inhumanity.
The people of Western Somali are besieged by the Ethiopian troops and most of major towns like Kabridahre, Godey , Dagahbur, Warder and Fiq are camps of open air prisons by banning the movement between the urban town and surrounding villages and rural areas.
The Ethiopian troops also banned taking out of the towns any foodstuff which means the dependent rural areas that hardly hit by drought cannot get anything to face its fatal.
There are a lot of incidents concerning the barbaric acts of Ethiopian troops but we hereby mention some victims in Fiq zone .
The Ethiopian troops killed :
Yusuf Abdi Ahmed – Barkamal village in Sagag District
Deeq Ahmed – Sanhaskule Village in Galalshe District.
Ahmed Abdulkadir – Sanhaskule Village in Galalshe District
The Ethiopian troops kidnapped in Sagag town six girls.
The Ethiopian troops opened fire to crowd in Kudhahmeydan Village in Hamaro District and killed dozens of innocent villagers .
The Ethiopian troops kidnapped in Bashuro Village a girl then her dead body found near the military camp.
The Ethiopian troops kidnapped in Isdabadag Village in Garbo District three men whose names are :
1- Abdullahi Muhumed Nur.
2- Badri Garane.
3- Ahmed nur Hine .
All these atrocities and more are the daily operations undertaken by Ethiopian Troops against the people of Western Somali, so we call upon the international human rights organizations to unveil these inhuman acts and to send its representatives to observe closely what a barbaric exercises threatening the human being in this area in the world.
We hope the eyes of world might be focused on the current situation in western Somali (Ogaden).
