Govt plans to establish investment body in Southern Sudan
June 23, 2006 (KHARTOUM) — Federal Ministry of Investment has formulated a plan for the establishment of investment corporation in South Sudan for pushing ahead the investment process in the southern states according to the requirements of the current investment acts.
The State Minister at Ministry of Investment Engineer al-Saimeh al-Sidig Al-Nur, in a press statement reiterated Ministry keenness in training cadres who work in the Investment Administration in South Sudan states.
He underlined that the government of national unity is concerning with establishment huge investment projects in South Sudan for boosting the economic development in the southern states.
Al-Nur said that the custom duties and taxation exemptions are provided to investment projects according to investment act for the year 2003.
The minister said that the coordination is carrying out among the concerned ministries with investment and the states which grant licenses for investment projects in various fields.
