Saudi Interior minister receives Sudan Religious Affaires minister

MAKKAH, Feb 02, 2004 (SPA/ST) — Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister and Chairman of the Higher Hajj Committee, received here today Sudanese Minister of Guidance and Endowments Dr. Isam Ahmad Al -Bashir who is performing Hajj.

During the meeting, the Sudanese minister conveyed to Prince Naif a message from Sudan’s Interior Minister Abdulraheem Hosain.

On the other hand, nearly 8 Sudanese worshipers died in a hajj stampede yesterday during the annual stoning of Satan ritual in one of the deadliest tragedies at the notoriously perilous ceremony.
