BREAKING NEWS: Darfur rebel leader moves to safety after days on the run

May 14, 2008 (WASHINGTON) — The leader of the Darfur Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) Khalil Ibrahim is in a safe location in Darfur, Sudan Tribune is able to confirm.
The Sudanese defense minister has told reporters and lawmakers yesterday that his forces are following Ibrahim and that he is heading to the border area with the neighbouring Chad through the northern border of North Kordofan and Darfur states.
The failure of the Sudanese government to nab the JEM chief is likely to be a severe political blow to Khartoum which has implied that the arrest of the rebel leader is iminent.
Darfurian rebels staged a bold attack and fought fierce battles with the Sudanese army on the outskirts of the capital. However the Sudanese government repulsed the attack and accused Chad of backing the assault.
Al-Bashir said in a televised statement that he holds Chad responsible of the foiled attack by the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) troops against the Sudanese capital. He also announced that diplomatic relations with Chad have been broken.

It is better for you to stay in a safe side rather of putting your self in a high military risk with those eveils. My advise to you is to unite all Darfurians military and political forces under one common agenda, then fight or make negotiation with Khartoum government to bring a comprehensive resolution to your issue. It was so good for you to made an attempt to attack Khartoum, but your planning and military tactic was so poor for some reasons. First of all, Khartoum is surrounded by so many military areas such as Shambat, Sellha negle in Bahry, Elifuon, Sobba, Jabel awalia, and much more. This means that Khartoum has a very big back up and you don’t have any. So, where did you want to stay here if you would have captured Khartoum? That was a reason number one you became a losser. Secondly, you didn’t manage and calculate your time properly. The government was aware of your coming to Khartoum and you ignore it or you were just stubborn. Thirdly, you didn’t have strong supporters or allied. Make sure that Darfurians are united and you have deplomatic solutions beside your military actions. I whish you good luck and Gob bless you

Dr. Khalil we are all happy that you made it to safety, as your capturing and killing by those terrorist Arabs of Sudan, would have been a very big bellow on the pace of the black movement in Sudan!! So, thank God for avoiding such a disgraceful scenario or dilemma!!
On the other hand, I would you to tell us what exactly failed you attempt to capture or inflict damage on the terrorist capital, Khartoum, and what on earth made you think of sending those kids to fight that complicated war!!!!!!!!! Please do that, because I believed that the reason of your failure must sell out, by those traitors in Khartoum!! All the endogenous people of Sudan are not happy with what happened to those kids!! Those youngsters (martyrs of battle for Omdurman) will never die in vein, we, the endogenous and black Africans of Sudan must unite to get rid the remnants of Egyptian, Britons, and Turks colonials out of our country, Sudan, or else they must come to realisation that we are the majority and thus they must put up with our norms!! Next time coordinate or joint the efforts with your brothers in Nuba Mountains, Southern Blue Nile and Southern, to eradicate those intruders out of our Land of blacks or Sudan!! Long live JEM, long live SPLA/M and long live the idea of black revolution in Sudan. Death to terrorists and fundamentalists of Al. Sadiq Al. Madi and Al.omer AL Basier, the struggle continue to the last man’s last drop of blood!!
