Erdogan, Burhan discuss bilateral cooperation

May 6, 2024 (ANKARA) – Sudanese Sovereign Council leader Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Monday.

Al-Burhan has been in Turkey since Saturday, where he attended the funerals of his son, who passed away in a motorcycle accident.

According to a statement by the Sovereign Council, they discussed the latest developments in Sudan, with Al-Burhan highlighting efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

“The discussion centred on Sudanese-Turkish relations and potential areas for joint cooperation between the two countries,” stressed the statement.
