March 22, 2009 (KHARTOUM) — President Omer Hassan Al-Bashir appealed today to African, Arab and Islamic countries to support the new Somali government to strengthen peace, security and stability in Somalia and ending the suffering of the Somali people, which lasted much.

The newly elected Somali president, Sheikh Sharif Ahmed briefed the Sudanese president in a meeting he held Sunday in Khartoum on the overall situation in Somalia and the task of bringing change to his country that has not had a central government for eighteen years.

Al-Bashir, in remarks after a meeting with President Sheikh Ahmed, pointed out Sudan’s keenness on peace and stability in Somalia, and expressed optimism that the newly-elected Somali government with with a broad base of the Somali clans and factions would start a new era in which Somalia enjoys development and stability.

Mr. president Bashir is talking of peace in Somalia while he can not handle Sudan peacefully, late me tell him this wise saying, ‘you can not be a crochodile in someone’s land while are not a lizard in your own land’, how can mr. Bashir be a peace maker in Somalia while he is not a peace maker in Darfur?
