Sudan to build new villages in Jonglei state
June 21, 2009 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese government today inaugurated a project to build new village complexes in the Southern state of Jonglei, according to the state agency.
The state minister for finance and national economy Lual Deng said during a visit to the Wangli village in the state, that the project is part of enforcing peace through development.
He revealed that the agricultural bank loaned 10 tractors and its peripherals to 40 families that ill be paid off in installments. Deng added that training is also provided to the families in operating the machinery.
The Sudanese official said that John Garang’s village is sponsored by 3nd Vice president Ali Osman Taha and that another village named after South Sudan president Salva Kiir is sponsored by president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir.
A similar village named after Lieutenant General Samuel John is sponsored by Kiir to commemorate the first Southerner to be enrolled in the military academy.
Deng said that the villages are financed by the Unity support funds which receives allocations from the monthly oil revenue proceeds.
He added that similar projects will be inaugurated in other Southern states that aim at bringing population together in productive groups that can be part of agricultural process to achieve food security in the region.

Is it another way of bribing us using our own oil proceeds? Our people must be aware of these debious offers. It is already clrar that the funds were created and named “unity funds” which tells us that the intention here is malicious. It has nothing to do with genuine development. It is good for NCP to call it a project to southern state as they propose but donot appreciated it and donot reject it,i give them go ahead to prove their unfaithfulnes and lying the public,am very sure these are the words thrown imnto they media to withdraw the attention of international communities but not action word,they will not do it.

If the Villages are going to be sponsored by Mr.Bashir,Osman Taha and Mr.Salva Kiir in short by the presidency why should they use the money from the oil proceeds?.There is a different between private sponsorship and using public fund.That is not the right way of making Unity attractive by taking from peter to pay John.Built housing estates instead of villages using the same money from the oil proceeds and should not be mixed with private sponsorship from the presidency.

I would like to inform my barking dogs (Equatorians) in Equatoria to stop talking against the well known tribe because of their being brave like nothing in this World.WE have liberated Arabs’ slaves and they have again turned to be our enemies.Anyway I can’t blame them for they just hunt for rats (Parabuuth)using bows and arrows in the forest.They are confused elements for they move from Sudan to Uganda if it happen for the Junnubians to have conflict with Arabs.Therefore ,most of the people from Equatoria know how to eat instaed of talking about politics.By the way, who is Logic.My dear house boy,a camel keeps on moving when the dog is barking.
