Sudan 1st VP safe after plane accident in Uganda

November 25, 2009 (WASHINGTON) – The Sudanese first vice president Salva Kiir survived an accident today that was caused by the rupture in one of the tires on the plane he and his delegations were boarding, Ugandan media reported.

Kiir8-2.jpgHowever the foul play was ruled out. The incident brings back bitter memory on the death later SPLM leader John Garang who was killed after his helicopter crashed en route from Uganda.

The pilot managed to steer the plane away from hitting the trees which was almost certain to cause harm to the passengers.

The government of Southern Sudan sent another plane to instead of the Antonov 74 cargo plane.

Kiir was in Uganda to discuss the border tensions with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.

Brothers and sisters,i had writen in my response to Kiir travel to Uganda mentioning about this accident but wasnt posted. This is another tragic news but do we learn our lesson about the type of plane we use?Why is it Kiir all the time travel to Uganda to meet up with uganda president but Uganda president dont travel to Sudan? Not long ago our president was in Uganda, cant he delegate his task to other officials?Does it have to be him all the time traveling?

The information we have, this accident happaned in town of Gulu in northern Uganda, what was he doing there? Was it the place to meet with Uganda president?

Southern Sudan president Gen. Dr. Salva Kiir MAyardit will not die again like Dr. Garang who die in helicopter crash in Sudan-Uganda border upto now no one know who exactly killed him.

Sudanese leaders should stop ugandan plane otherwise they should use their planes, if not, they should use International plane.

    oh Gees!

when will we learn from the lessons that you Uganda has taugt us and its Neighbours over years, look father Savorino of Anyaya 1 and the Dr. Garang all died in Uganda on their national duties, what about the Genocide of Rwanda?, was Uganda not complicit in it?, Prseident Abyramana of Rwanda and the Brundian president all died when uganda is implicated in their death, does Museven want to complicated us again before we reached our destination?

South Sudan should not always be quick to rule out foul plays in matters like this, we easily conceded in Garang’s crash when Uganda never even ansewered alot of investigation questions and non-compliance with the investigations,we all know all that Uganda have done to us in terms of not taking care of our leaders, look at how we care for Museveni when he comes to South Sudan to an extents of closing down our businesses and roads for the sake of his safety and Uganda, but when will Uganda begin to protect our state in their territory, I feel Uganda is taking advantage of our being preocupied with the Northern sudan at the expense of diplomatic responsibilties that others states like Uganda owe us, so many world leaders travel to Uganda on daily basis but never do we hear of any accidents or death in Uganda like we frequented over the last three years.

please south Sudan, we shouldnot be rendered so vulnerable and be at the mercy of other states like Uganda because of trade, we are not the only ones who gain in trade, instead, we are a market for Uganda and others and we are not getting any thing in return apart from consumptions, some of the benefits that are there will always be there by their nature not by how much we are there to praise others and ignore all their wicked deeds to us and our country, a death of a president is some thing internationally regarded as costly by all, so Uganda should not be there to be witch hunt for our leaders on behalf of Khartuom.

The news was posted from Washington. We don’t need any more proof that Museveni is a puppet of the west. Museveni is a tyrant but he is a darling of the west, so his skeletons stay locked in the closet. If he manages to see the light and change his treasonous ways and try to help his own people, he will definetly end up like Mugabe. It is reasonable to ask God why we Africans bear the brunt of all suffering, but the answer stares us in our face everyday. Manipulation of all levers of power through the entrenched imperialism and hijacking by special interests of most governments is the one reason. Secondly, African rulers like Museveni who watch this happen are almost as bad are their masters. Salva Kiir should avoid Uganda at all costs.

Again Uganda, that’s a most terrible news indeed. Museveni’s plan on South Sudan leaders is becoming clear day by day and God will surely reveal it. But my advice to Mr. president HE salva Kiir is that you have travelled to much abroad and over seas. It is not good for a leader to have these frequent travel due, it is for diplomatic or political reasons, it should not real be more than two times in a month. Imagine you have just come from Europe and to Uganda again makes you more vanerable for other political conspiracy.

    Dear Southerners,
Let us investigate first inorder to find out and know exactly what was the real cause whether human, mechanical and/or technical.
This is just a warning to the Sourthern Sudanese leaders that Uganda has been cursed by the blood of those innocent people assassinated by the Ugandan Authoriries in the past.
Therefore, the Government and the people of the Southern Sudan have to do something awful, regretful and immeasureable to the government of Uganda that would be remembered for the rest of its life.
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is a terrorist and one day he will find himself in a wheelchair so that his suffering will pay back for the blood which he has spilled. He is just an hyena he deserves no good voice and reputation in the African leadership. He must be brought to ICC justice and will only be freed if he assassinate the President of Suadn Omer Hassan Al Bashier.

This was an accident not planned by someone somewhere, Ugandans are our brothers and will not plan such a stupid evil thing, I know because of the previous death of Dr Garang so now every accident in Uganda will be looked at with suspicious eyes but this was just an accident, Antinov planes especialyl the old series are very bad in shape and very risky to fly in, they look nice and big but they are a flying coffin, so we are glad the president is now back and safe.

God is greater and can destory the ill intentions of humans!!!.
The accident is now reminding me of that fateful visit of Dr Garang in which he died misterioursly in Uganda helicopter believed to be for his best friend Yoweri. My fellow country men we should remain calm and peaceful to fellow Ugandas despite the fact that there seam to be foul from the most senior politicians in Museveni’s government if he wasn’t part of the conspiracy.
God has prevented the worst and we shouldn’t ignite fire. I know the accident will be percieved with mix reactions like hatred to ugandas to wishing Kiir death for those eyeing his seat but all in all these will lead to disaster of our future which we struggled for it in twenty one years of suffering. Let’s forget and hope for the best.
Finally, I would like to ask my President (Kiir)and his politicians, how many times had Mr Yoweri Kaguta Museveni travelled to Juba or subburbs of Southern Sudan?. Our president and politicians are always travelling to Uganda for unknown things which haven’t yielded anything to South upto now. Pliz if you had nothing to do in Junub then don’t initiate troubles among your citizens and those from outside the South since they will be pointing fingers at each other.
All fellow writers on this web should refrain from exchanging abuses and fuelling tribal hatreds through their unpatriotic writings. You should be mindful of the destiny of Southern Sudanese.

    God bless South Sudan
    God bless our leaders

You can now see how M7 works, pretending to be a friend but later planning and executing strange occurences: The death of Habyarimana in a plane incident; The death of John Garang in a plane incident; the recent incident in the Rwandan plane accident involving Kagame; the death of Oyite Ojok in a plane fire; The death of Jet Mwebaze in a plane incident and now the threat to Kiirs life in a plane incident. Kiir should know who his friends are because he who shines a torch at you during the day will burn you at night: be carefull of agenct of Satan who are in state house Uganda

Thanks God that you have survived this crash with your delegation. But it would be good if you Goss buy a brand new helicopter which is more safety for you mr president to travel on it instead of other countries plane which are not trusted. As we all know that a great friend sometimes become an enemy, you better learn from the past incident that claim the life of our late SPLM leader Dr John Garang. Otherwise may almight father be with you always!

    Oh, Goodness!!!

Why do responsible people e.g Salva Kiir always prefer to have their life hang in the balance,by traveling with unsafe cargo planes?Besides, why do our so called leaders always privilege “governmental trips” to Uganda and Kenya? Is Southern Sudan a dubious country,in which frangible East african leaders cannot be maturely hosted?I honestly dislike to jumpt to unthought conclusions, but I cannot rule out shady practices that has unfortunately become a major assignment for most of our outstanding leaders.

Needless to repeatedly stress upon the fact that vulgar superstition is one vital component in our culture. As such, this incident should serve as a retention for wrong-doings of our leaders.Prehaps this very last warning should be considered as 1.an exclamation point and 2.an indication for our leaders to rather focus on the well-being of their people, instead of recklessly criss-crossing the skies of Africa for their own affluency.

    Regards!!!
