By James Gatdet Dak
November 30, 2009 (JUBA) – A senior member of the Leadership Council in the Sudan’s ruling National Congress Party (NCP) has visited Juba for a meeting with the President of the Government of Southern Sudan, General Salva Kiir Mayardit.
Dr. Riek Gai Kok, the most senior Presidential Advisor to Sudan’s President Omer Hassan Al-Bashir, and former NCP Deputy Chairman for Southern Sector, came to the Southern Sudan’s capital this week and called for unity among the people of Southern Sudan.
Dr. Kok made the public remarks on Friday at the residence of the Vice President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, where he visited the house to see the dang of Ngundeng Bong which was brought back from England on May 16 this year after 80 years in exile.
He told a gathered crowd of people in the compound that the return of the historical dang, which he did not see since May 16, symbolized recovery of unity and power among the people of Southern Sudan.
Dr. Kok who was accompanied by the Deputy Governor of Jonglei state, Hussein Mar Nyuot, said he also came to travel to Jonglei state and visit his constituency in the state.
He was the former President of the Southern Sudan Coordinating Council which was dissolved upon formation of the Government of Southern Sudan in 2005 after the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
He rarely visits Southern Sudan since 2005.
The Government of Southern Sudan’s Vice President and Deputy Chairperson of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), Dr. Riek Machar, on his part echoed the call for unity and peaceful co-existence among the people of Southern Sudan.

Wrong! Southern Sudan have no connection with witchcraft Ngundeng’s walking stick. As a Southerner, I have no ears to hear what these pro-Arab militia saying in their militia compound. Where is the other militia leader, Matip Nhial, in the picture or was he not invited? We don’t believe what thugs are saying to themselves. By the way, Riek Gai has to visit close clinic in Juba before he flews to Lou Militiamen with that infectuos disease.

Dear brothers and sisters,
The Nuer’s freedom foundation is the basis of their strong sense of farness and justice. This is the basis of why the Nuers were the first to fight the colonial regimes in both Sudan & Ethiopia( the Great Britain in sudan, and Italy in Ethiopia).
Nuer’s long history of bravery and sacrifice is the foundation for African resitance against the powerful new enemies in name of colonial powers. Blessed are Ngundeng & the African people. Ngundeng’s Rod is a real blessing to Africa.
This way, the Nuer’s military and political powers will NEVER be reluctant to stand against any powerful undisputed revolting regimes, whether colonial or African. Nuers are for fair, just and balanced governance in Africa. Nuers will always be for political equality of all marginalized African in the continent. Thanks to Deputy Governor Mar Nyuot, both Dr. Rieks(Machar & Kok).
Teach Africans fairness that is embedded in your Nuer-blood. The Nuers have compassion and respect for other people. Keep it up!! People who do not know their humble history are like trees without roots. The Nuers have their patriotic, proud, democratic roots in Africa. Teach others how to be humble, fair and just in governance!!

They have the right to meet and discuss matters partaining to their culture and community. No body should ever bar them from meeting and discussing community affairs but they can not discuss politics especially Dr. Riek Machar and Dr.Riek Gai Kok because of their political affiliation. What i know is that Dr.Riek Gai Kok will soon be home joining SPLM to help in the development of the South and when he comes, we do not have to hear of any conspiracy against him. MAUMAU.

Dear readers,
Bravo Dr. Riek Gai Kok, I like your strategic thinking of watching on those South Sudan sell-outs in Khartoum. The likes of Abel Alier, Dr. Francis Mading Deng, Bona Malual, George Kongor, Moses Machar, etc. are there with NCP to harm us.
Without you being close to Omar Al-Bashir, these Nuer haters like Abel Alier, George Kongor, etc would have poisoned the mind of Bashir to do many bad things against the Nuer in particular and that is the South in general. Being in their camp will help neutralize their plans with that Jallaba called Bashir. They will have no good time to conspire against us until we squarely put to rest the Southern Affairs.
I know your heart is in the South, but you needed to be closer to Bashir at least during the interim period to stop any conspiracies from that side against our community by those life time sell-outs who have been serving Jallaba since they were boys and now are very old with white-grey hair. They would have succeeded to harm us if you were not there to frustrate their plans. Your strategy has worked, but now is the time for the nation to break up. You need to move South wards as the interim period comes to an end!
Time has come!

Timne for south sudanese to unite and put behind their differences. Arabs and others do not want to see southerners unite and speak with one voice together, that is why you see they always try and use the divide and rule purposes, they try and use false names for false accusations but they always fail, just ignore the Arabs and their colonials.

GOOD NEWS JUST IN FOR UPPER NILE NEW GOVERNOR!!!!!!!!!
November 30, 2009 (JUBA) – The newly appointed Governor of Upper Nile state, Dr. William Othon has officially assumed office today, Monday.
The former governor of Upper Nile state, Major General Gatluak Deng, who refused to step down for the last two weeks after his removal, has finally accepted to handover governorship following the intervention of the Vice President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Dr. Riek Machar Teny.
Dr. Machar earlier over the weekend talked by phone to both President Omar al-Bashir in Khartoum and Maj. Gen. Gatluak Deng in Malakal and convinced them to resolve the matter by handing over office to the new governor through his deputy until the governor avails himself.
President al-Bashir earlier denied having recommended the removal of Maj. Gen. Gatluak to the President of the Government of Southern Sudan.
Gatluak was since two weeks ago removed by a Presidential Decree signed by the President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit.
He refused to handover power and continued to chair the state Council of Ministers meetings.
The new governor stayed away from the office for two weeks despite being sworn in by President Salva Kiir in Juba.
It was not clear who in the leadership of the National Congress Party (NCP) recommended to Salva Kiir the removal of Maj. Gen. Gatluak.
According to the CPA arrangements, Upper Nile state governor has always been the nominee of the NCP’s chairman, President Omer al-Bashir.
Both Maj. Gen. Gatluak Deng and Dr. William Othon are members of the NCP.

Dear Gatwech,
First of all, the two Dr. Rieks’devotion to truth, even in the face of political and personal threats is a powerful display of their being from a central power ethnic group in the heart of south sudan. It is a public knowledge they both fear nothing in south sudan. And they are rightfuly so….The two Dr. Rieks picture here speaks great volume. It is obvious this particular picture speaks millions words. It is indeed, “ba ko bieh wec tong ci jang Riekni maat” all-over ’Wec Deang’(south sudan).
Gatwech, I know you know the truth through direct observation of historical facts, but the two prestigious “Rieks” are engaged in free exchange of ideas expected of recently unearthed documents/Africa’s historical artifacts from British and the future of south sudan. This one is important as it could save south sudan from its looming choas caused by sorely lacking in good governance (Kiir’s leadership). I know you are well versed in thousands of released/unreleased documents sung by Ngundeng Bong.
Welcome to the latest: the exposure of internal memos and other sensitive documents sung by Ngundeng, which I cannot publicly interpret here— No one is happy with this harsh-restrictions on the unreleased internal documents sung by Ngundeng, but it is good for south sudan internal peace I suppose, for now…. “Waale baa pal mat keel, ba ko bieh wec we tong ci jang Riekni maat.” But I like to leave you with this, Gatwech.
1-Now is the time for consensus in south sudan. There is a need to cultivate the same courageous, devotion to truth in the face of political considerations displayed by two “Rieks” in other south sudanese communities(Non-Dinkas). The powerful unity the two “Rieks” have shown is supposed to be a dispassionated search for the truth & peace in south sudan, not an exercise in political manipulation worthy of the Nuer’s honest & powerful ethical image in Africa.
2-The Dinka leadership under Kiir commits economic suicide in south sudan by subjecting untold economic hardship for millions of south sudanese people through Dinka’s corruptions, nepotism, and ultra-tribalism. The Nuers expose a hard truth at a rotting core of ultra-tribalist Dinka-leadership. South sudanese ought to strip away the quasi-anarchy fervor surrounding the Dinka leadership & save south sudan unity, NOW!!
3-Fair and honest governance is needed in south sudan, but so far, Kiir and his accomplices are involved in suppressing evidence that ran counter to their beliefs(corruptions, nepotism), and even engaging in violent fantasies against oppositions or skeptics.
Therefore, Such shaky Dinka leadership is the basis for messy insecurity, rampant corruptions and decisions involving hundreds billions of dollars that affected and will affect the lives of millions of south sudanese people for years to come. It is difficult to misconstrue the context when the truth & credible evidence are before the very public eyes of south sudanese. I urge all other south sudanese peace-loving ethnic groups to encourage dissenting views unlike the Dinkas in south sudan. Gatwech, I believe in diplomacy – but sometimes actions speak louder than words-(I do believe in just war).

those Drs are not coming to Southern Sudan just for unity of Nation, but they just came for themselves advertisement to Southerners because they knew very well that Southern Sudan is gonna be separated and yet if they are not on the chain, they will be humiliated while they are gonna loose at the same time in Northern Sudan. Woow”””” nobody told those Bashir’s Drs in Khartoum that the pumpkin we have in Southern Sudan are much better than GRAPes that they have in Khartoum. Let them go back to Bashir with humiliation, Southern Sudan is not tissue of blowing nose.
Thanks.

Dear brother, Palotakans from Equatoria:
Yes, it is true there is no conducive environment for productive & civilized intelligence debate here. It is even worse on the ground in south sudan!! Unfortunately, in today’s political environment(south sudan), it is not enough to have better ideas under Salva Kiir’s leadership.
It is also frustrating to get our peaceful message across to our fellow south sudanese citizens. Thus, in order to defeat prejudice & ignorance among south sudanese, we must also back our principles with superior logic & reason. But it is just simply not worth it debating productively with most idiots here. Intelligence productive debate would be a timely gift, effectively doubling its impact among ignorant south sudanese today. But it is obvious one can’t reason and possibly have a meaningful argument with most idiots on this web site.
This way, south sudan’s reputation and image abroad is shattered by lack of intelligence exchange of ideas among its own citizens both at home and abroad. Brother, did you say, “understanding the world”? Well, the world wants to see south sudan to work as a partner with friends around the world to build a future south sudan based on law, justice, human rights, and a commitment to peace. We cannot afford to lose all that we have gained so far. South sudanese have a duty to show the world that we want better future. This would be our best way forward, understanding this world!!
But most idiots on this site squeal and are even more energized when they see you with a powerful, unified argument for south sudan. I don’t believe that south sudanese are not better people, but I believe they choose not to be better by choice. Holding the line of fair and intelligent arguments with most idiots here is a waste of time. I am not going to go there because you already know you can’t reason with idiots here no matter how intelligence you are.
Thinking of it, you can either choose to put up a white flag or called it quit on this site or on the ground in south sudan. But where are you going to go, brother? we rather need to change our ways to try to either stop or slow south sudanese ignorance down. Anything else is just sticking your head in the sand. Coming to “the Nuer are the only fair with good leadership”….this is a made up quote from you personally. I didn’t write that quote. But I said, the Nuers are among the best when it comes to being fair democratic.
This is very true!! Check who are the Nuers & their historical background. It is a public knowledge that the Nuers are democratic and fair Africans. They are indeed among the best practicing democracy and fairness in south sudan today. Goodness is the hope of mankind. I am glad the Nuers are part of it. There is nothing wrong telling it as it is, the truth about the Nuers. I acknowledged the jealousy of others when I said this. But I do always called spade a spade. But I am not going to bore you with the most central questions of life and death, hope and despair. let me stop here.
Now, my freedom of expression is not for sale. I told you a while back, that I am born to extreme freedom in my culture based on “live free or die” attitude. My reflective thinking and clear rationale allows me to accept others with peaceful co-existence. But I would never contracted my freedom not to attack others when there is a need. It is why I am a free man.
I understand we need to be peaceful educators. But I am not here seeking publicity or fame either. I am for truth. I do not want to be recognize as academics here. And most of all, I do understand I am not perfect, but I have a right to blame, criticize, and judge others even with my imperfections. That is the nature of our socially constructed environment(world). This is the same reason I am expose to be blame, criticize and judge by other imperfect discussants on this site.
Forever Forward Thinking!!
