Sudanese president rules out withdrawal from Abyei

May 24, 2011 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese president Omer Hassan Al-Bashir on Tuesday hardened his stance on his army’s takeover of Abyei last weekend, emphasizing that he does not intend to order a withdrawal.

“Abyei is Sudanese land, a Northern land [and] we will not withdraw from it,” Bashir addressed a meeting of educational workers and vocational teachers in Khartoum today.

Sudan’s official news agency (SUNA) omitted this portion of Bashir’s speech but included his remarks giving Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) the green light to respond to provocations by the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) anywhere.

The Sudanese president mocked the Southern ex-rebel group saying they thought the SAF is spread thin and exhausted because of the separate armed conflict in Darfur.

“But we are prepared for war and going back to [the battles] of the 40th mile and Torit,” he said.

He slammed the US administration for demanding the withdrawal of his troops without waiting for the clarifications Washington requested from the Government of South Sudan (GoSS) on the attack.

The U.S. was the first to point fingers at the South of standing behind the attack but at the same time demanded the immediate withdrawal by the SAF from Abyei and said this is a violation of the 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) signed between North and South Sudan.

Western countries as well as the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) adopted the same stance taken by the US regarding the attack.

Washington warned Khartoum that unless Sudan withdraws from Abyei the process of normalizing ties and lifting the country’s name from the list of states that sponsor terrorism would be stalled.

But Bashir said today that he is not concerned with the U.S. “sticks or carrots”.

SAF entered the disputed border region over the weekend in retaliation for an ambush near Abyei blamed on the SPLA. The SAF convoy that came under attack was escorted by peacekeepers from the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS).

Initially the Sudanese government said 22 soldiers were killed and dozens have gone missing in the aftermath of the attack. But the Sudanese ambassador to Kenya Kamal Ismail Saeed said today that 197 northern troops were either killed or are missing.

The United Nations on Tuesday made its first acknowledgment that the attack was carried out by the South.

“[T]he available information and eyewitness accounts describing the assailants, including their uniforms, strongly suggest that the attackers were members of the Southern Sudan police or military forces. And we’ve asked the Government of South Sudan to launch an investigation immediately and hold the perpetrators accountable, as attacks on UN peacekeepers constitute war crimes under international law,” UN spokesman Martin Nesirky told reporters in New York.

However, Nesirky suggested that the casualties figures given by Khartoum may be exaggerated.

“I think that the numbers are much smaller than that, according to the reporting that I have seen. But I’d have to come back to you. I don’t know that we have a concrete actual toll. As I understand it, once that attack took place, many of the people in the convoy dispersed, and I don’t know that they have been accounted for,” he said.

The CPA also promised Abyei residents their own referendum over whether to join north or south, but that did not take place as neither could agree who was qualified to vote.

U.N. officials said between 15,000 and 20,000 people fled Abyei, many heading to Agok, just over the southern border.

“We are concerned … about the grave humanitarian consequences of what’s transpired in Abyei. There have been horrific reports of looting and burning,” said Susan Rice, U.S. ambassador to the U.N., visiting the southern capital Juba.

GoSS president Salva Kiir handed the UNSC a protest letter on the takeover of Abyei by the North. He also conveyed to the former South African president Thabo Mbeki who is mediating between both sides the need of immediate withdrawal and return of the residents who fled the fighting.

Not everyone is good at everything. President Kiir is not a man of war, but I understand why he seeks peace instead. President Bashir will not withdraw his troops unless SPLA recapture Abyei by force. As for those who think SPLA is weak are wrong. I believe SPLA have power to capture Abyei if they want to, but they prefer peace because of civillians. The United States and international community must talk to Bashir seriously or otherwise Abyei will drag us back to war before we reach the declaration of independence of South Sudan. Last and not the least, every Abyei sons and daughters who are working in the government of national unity should resign to protest the invasion of their homeland by the northern army. Lastly, Dinka Nyok politicians such as Mading Deng and others should play a major role this time.

The central thrust of this incident is that SPLA responded a gun shot by unknown person and that does not hold the water. Sudanese President must understand that war has no any benefit for both of us. It will be another destruction not only in Abyei but the whole Sudan including Khartoum and Juba.

Let’s correct this error and forget about war. South is not in the bush any longer. Abyei people will determine where they want to go but not by forceful means. We know Bashir is a brave fighter but the question is this, why did you signed Comperhensive Peace Agreement?

    Bashir,
You should not mock the SPLA. You shouldn’t dream of recapturing the independent Nation South Sudan. You should not believed on those slaves like Gadet,George Athor, Gatluak and Abdel Bagi Ayii and you should believe on reinstating the return Southerners in JIU- SAF components. Yes, you shall use members of Gadet and Gatluak tribes but do not put more hope on members of Abdel Bagi Ayii or any other Southern tribes. You have only a few elements like members of Dr. Lam, Gadet and Gatluak. The probability of buying members of Athor tribes is 1%. Therefore, what Bashir said in his speech is an inivitation of US to fight with him directly.

Bashir has forgotten that North-South does not involve International Community. I need to tell Bashir that International Community are concerned and are already involved in this Conflict because of their high contribution in the CPA and the reconstruction of the war torn Country.

Those looted and stored trillions of dollars from South Oils will get finish if Bashir does not withdraw his provocative statements. Bashir, your lifespan is coming to an end. You will either be in exile soon or died in Khartoum this year.

    Dear readers and general public

My source within the SPLA intelliegence cirle told me that the burning of over 7000 homes in unity state is the resulted

of an act of desperate revenge from the DEFEATED SPLA remanants from the ABYEI front lines. The retreating SPLA battalions who are being persued in hot persued by Sudan Armed forces ran deep into greater Bar el- ghazal area especially some went into neigboring Warrap states. those are the culprits who are doing the burning and most of whom are Dinka battalions’ he said.

My sources said, that this acts is in effect plunged South deeper into what it terms tribals plots and the consequences will be far greater than what Jallaba did in Abyei ’’ he concluded!

Folks i knew Nuer would not have don this except the top officers who are being used. now it’s clear that Dinka Defeated SPLA remenants from Abyei felt shame as to show the world that they are brave as to burned dowm the innocents homes.! well, My Sources add’’ General Matip is not talking to any body telling his aides to not pick up any phone calls from Kiir.

Ruling out withdrawal from Abyei will not go down well as you wish Mr Omar Al-Bashir. The SPLA has shown a very great discipline for not retaliating evently after the incursion. This was to give a window of opportunity for withdrawal in line with the CPA and Kaduguly peace agreement and to respect the international calls for immediate restraining.

Now, for those who rebelled and pretend to be true South Sudanese nationalists fighting against the GOSS in order to eradicate corruptions, nepotism should publicly denounce and condemn the incursion of Abyei. Let those of Peter Gadet Yaka, Abdel-Bagi Ayii, George Athor and the likes come out clearly to denounce the occupation of Southern territory by the long time enemy! ! ! I believe the time is running out. Just a matter of weeks to test on the ground who is genuinely fighting for the cause.

Sorry to say this: It is surpring in history to see some few element of Nuer to stand with Arabs. One time the cross matching of the DNA will be carried out to all Southerners. I am sorry. The genotivity of these elements are true evidences that Arabs have greater influence in Mayom where Bashir was a battalion commander in 1987-1988. These negative nuers who continued to support arabs are offsprings of Arabs. In history Nuer where the first enemies of Jalaba. It could be seen even in Khartoum during those days in 1950s-1970s. What happened now is what i do know and that is why i doubt and react to some commenters here like liberators. I believed the phenotype is red and therefore, they are not Nuer rather then cousins of nuers.

Dear all, let leave this problem to the people concern to address it in administrative way and we should not bother ourselves barking on website as warriors meanwhile nothing is going to help our people who are dying in Abyei from our talking. Salva Kiir must have to put in his mind that he has done a great mistake by not equipped his army in all these period. He should not rely only on foriegn powers, he would have started by equipping his troops during the transitional intrime period but since they all have failed to do that, let,s not blame ourselves but let what has happen in Abyei be the end and the last. We know actually that SPLA army is not too weak to face SAF but the problem should be down there that is why the soldiers doesn’t want to resist that emerged attack from SAF. I hope after sometime that issue may be found either with field officers or with top officers in Juba. Therefore, leave those bastrad and thugs saf to loots and burn the house of civil they claimed to be under their leadership, they will get what they want very soon from international world community.

    South Sudanese,

SAF will remain to control Abyei until we declare our independence on July 9, 2011. We can’t foolishly fight in Abyei at this time.

Look, even the administrator of Abyei, Arop whatever, has fled like a woman up to Wau in Western Bahr el Ghazal leaving Aweil and Kuajok, which are near to his people who fled from Abyei.

Luka Biong’s so-called resignation is just a joke. He knows that he has only 43 days any way to be forced to resign from Northern cabinet as a minister according to the CPA that ends on July 9.

If he was really serious about Abyei then why didn’t he resign in January when Abyei was denied to conduct the referendum like the South?

He will only miss one month salary because Kiir will reappoint him as minister in July during the formation of transitional government.

His resignation is not a serious business but prompted by fear of unknown inside Khartoum before July 9.

    That is all, folks!!!

This is a real message from godfather. A real godfather “jena haram” a product of arabs. I tell you this land will take your life as fresh as you are because you do not realy appreciate your own freedoms in your own land. You look like a child being fed by baby seaters. You can feed and decision upon yourself alone. You are too loyal to oppressors, descriminators and exploitors those arabs who used to degrade you in your own land. How can you blame Salva as if the arabs want the land or a house of Salva Kiir. Can’t you reason properly. Who is Salva Kiir? Don’ t tell me that he was a freedom fighter. That title got expired long time ago. Now he is an elected President during the April election and therefore, the Government does not belong to him any more. It is our Government and we elected him to be the President and at any time we must voted him out of the office but this land shall remain for Southerners to decide on the competent leader who shall lead them. So i do not really support your negative comment. Salva should be reserve politically. He should not act like Bashir. Bashir is agony and he is crying for the split of the country. Those barbaric statements and actions are the work of a mad man if you do not understand Bashir very Well.

We need to see things intelligently before opening a chapter for blaming and condemnation.

You need to go a trace your father from the north and i believe you do not your father. This land belong to wellwishers Southerners. Those who value their territory. Your education and knowledge towards Southern Affairs is useless and misleading your own tribes. Such idiots will be taken by this land. Dear brothers and sisters,

SPLA are only good in fighting their brothers in the South but fearful to face the real enemy in Abyei.

Yesterday they run away from SAF in Abyei with apology and left Dinka Ngok of Abyei to the North to burn it down while today they are proud to have burned down the villages of southerners inside South Sudan in the Nuerland.

SPLA and SAF have no difference now in their criminal actions. Why burn the homes of your own civilians who you are supposed to protect, just like the SAF is burning Abyei homes of Ngok Dinka?

For SAF is understandable because they see Abyei civilians as their enemies. But is SPLA seeing Mankien civilians as enemies?

During the 21 years of war, SAF used the same criminal way of punishing the South Sudanese civilians accusing them of hosting the SPLA soldiers in their villages. Is this the same act the SPLA is coping?

James Hoth Mai of SPLA chief of staff should tell his home boy, Koang Chol of Division Four to go back to Nasir and practice this anti-Nuer burning of civilian homes. He is proving to be a slave hearted officer. The Nuer should disown him.

Why blame civilians for capture of Mankien? The SPLA was living side by side with the civilians in Mankien until Gatdet’s forces chased the SPLA and controlled the area. Is this the fault of the abondoned civilians by SPLA? If the so-called Koang Chol is a fighter he should only have stationed himself in Mankien and instead protect the very civilians from Gatdet’s militias. Now he is the one killing the civilians. What a fool!

I appreciate our citizens understanding of the situation. I don’t think James Hoth Mai and Koang Chol understand the plot they are being used to implement. People from Eastern Jikany Nuer like him should try to advise him. But I was told by a friend from his area that Hoth Mai always takes advices slightly and can be a waste of time to speak to him.

I concur with that person because I recalled that when he was appointed Chief of Staff he called for Nuer community to celebrate in his house. The event coincided with my visit to Juba and I went and attended the occasion. One Nuer elder told him (Hoth Mai) that if he will join any plot and act against the Nuer he will die in the process. I don’t think he remembers that advice now.

Now do you see how the SPLA war, in refusal of peace talks, is a plot to be a Nuer-Nuer war using some elements of slave hearted Nuer sons?

I have just talked to a well placed SPLA senior officer and this is what he told me.

1/ He said Taban Deng Gai and the Division Four commander Maj. General James Gatduel Gatluak have disagreement between themselves on how to handle the fight against Gatdet’s forces.

The disagreement started when the militias of Gatluak Gai entered Guit last week, the home county of Taban Deng Gai. Then Maj. Gen. Gatduel who command Division Four ordered to attack the militias in the county, but Taban Deng refused because he did not want the war to be fought in his home county and harm his Western Jikany Nuer civilians. He said he would use peaceful means to talk to Gatluak Gai.

2/ When forces of Peter Gatdet entered Mankien payam in Mayom county, Taban ordered Gatduel to launch the attack but Maj. Gen. Gatduel, who also comes from Mayom county like Peter Gatdet refused, saying this would equally harm the civilians of Bul Nuer. He said a peaceful means would be reached with Gatdet instead. Taban insisted that the fight should be ordered, but Gatduel refused.

3/ Then Gatduel’s deputy, Maj. Gen. Koang Chol, from Eastern Jikany Nuer was called to Bilpam last week by the SPLA high command and was briefed to take over the war against Peter Gatdet in Unity state. This is how Koang Chol went back to Bentiu and launched that barbaric attack and burning of Bul Nuer homes. Koang Chol comes from Eastern Jikany Nuer of Nasir like James Hoth Mai.

Now do you see how the SPLA war is calculated to be a tribal war of Nuer vs Nuer using some elements of slave hearted Nuer sons?

Our leaders in GOSS are just praying to continue receiving their monthly salaries and no body will condemn this barbaric act against our people.

When they fought with George Athor they did not burn down Pigi county of Gier Chuang and George Athor. Now they are telling our weak sons to do it in Nuer land and our leaders are keeping silent, giving a deaf hear and blind eye to the situation.

I appreciate Maj. Gen. James Gatduel Gatluak for detecting that the war is not about the government vs rebels, but a calculated one to exterminate the Nuer using their own foolish sons and leaders.

Sudanese president rules out withdrawal from Abyei
Yes Mr. President Bashir no withdrawal from Abyei!!

Dinka ngok or whatever their name is must stop associating their Abyei problem with that of southern Sudanese. By the law, Abyei belongs to Northern Sudan full stop!!! That is why John Garang of their Dinka kin did not include Abyei in the CPA and gave it a specially arrangement famously known as “Abyei protocol “which give Ngok Dinka an option to decide whether they secede and joint Southern Sudan or remain as a state of Northern Sudan, where Ngok Dinka have been living since 1905 or beyond!!

The so-called Abye referendum was about to be conducted simultaneously with that of southern Sudan earlier this year if not because of the obstacles created by the ignorant and alcoholic generals of BEG and Abyei in SPLA/M including Luka Piong, Deng Alour and Nhial Deng! Regardless of the decision of Court of settlement (arbitration) in Den Haag, the Netherlands that confirmed Abyei as a Northern state, Ngok Dinka in the doom SPLA/ M and its GoSS are still yearning to annex Abyei to Southern Sudan unilaterally and refuse to recognise the right of the other Arab tribes such as Mesyeria etc that have living there for centuries to take part in the referendum that decides the fate of their region!! What sense that unwise decision makes to anyone even those with single brain cells like Luka Piong and alcoholic Kiir!!

Dinka Ngok has no monopoly and privilege rights to utterly decide the fate of Abyei alone!! All the tribes who live there deserve to be given the same right to take part in the referendum even that will mean war with SPLA, north shouldn’t accept SPLA/M nonsense and president al-Bacheir has moral and constitutional right to refuse the withdrawal of SAF from before a settlement is reached as not to allow Abyei to be annex to southern Sudan unilaterally by Dinka-dominated GoSS just to avoid returning to war with the dooms in SPLA!!

SAF should not become emotional and listen or response to SPLA/M, UN and USA empty threats, let Susan Rice or wheat come to Southern Sudan, let UN and USA bark and air their empty threats who cares, all I know is that we are at civil war and that it!!

Southern Sudan is already at war with itself and right now the defeated and retreating SPLA militia men from the burning Abye are burning Nuer houses in the unity sates just to divert their humiliating defeat by mighty SAF in Abyei and they try to cover their shameful defeat by torturing and killing their own civilians but this act will never go unanswered!!

Neither USA nor UN will be able to intervene into this southern civil war!! Let SAF hold on in Abyei and let them provide weapons to Peter Gadiet, Gorgy Athur Deng, Rev. Davdid Yau Yau, Gatluak Gia, Adul Bagi Ayee and Dr. Lam Akol and general Olleny of sholo kingdom and all nationalist in the Federations of Upper states(FoUS) to team up with SAF and uproot the alcoholic and war addict in the SPLA/M militia out of Sudanese soil before they bring us their USA, crusades and Zionists in our beloved Sudan and maybe our country could be reunited after we topple their self-centred in Juba or at least in peace and harmony in our two neighbouring and brotherly states if the unity fails this will never be achieved under the leadership of the SPLA/M militia!!

Al Bacheir has right to refuse withdrawing of his troops from Abyei because everyone knows that Abyei is part of North Sudan and Dinka Ngok including Luka Piong and Deng Alour themselves are Northerners who have been illegally employed in the GoSS simply because the GoSS is run by their Dinka kin General Alcoholic Kiir otherwise they shouldn’t even be there in the first place!!

Annexing Abyei to south is indeed a declaration of war against people of Northern Sudan!!! Do SPLM and its alcoholic Generals in SPLA militia realise the consequences of their stupid action that they make while abusing alcohol!! What does SPLA militia and its drunkards in the SPLM need from Northern Sudan that is displaying unusual diplomacy to solve the chronic problems of Southern Sudan most of which were caused simply by ignorance!! Our President, Mr. Al Omer Basheir and his wise NCP leadership have already respected the wish of SPLM and its American allies to divide the country even though it doesn’t serve any interest of neither Southerners nor Northerners, however, the NCP leadership did that just to avoid the blood shed in the country and not waste of lives of our people NOT out of fear for USA bombardment as thought by some stupid politicians in the SPLA/M!!

On the other hand, SPLA/M has been behaving as if it liberated and won Southern Sudan independency through the gun barrel in the battle fields!! The militia forgot that Southern Sudan independency was gained by peaceful means with conformity and blessing of NCP’s mature and wise leadership headed by our President Mr. Omer Al Bacheir, if not because of that neither referendum nor the so-called CPA would have been possible simply because SAF and A2 combined would have utterly destroyed the SPLA militia !! This point needs to be comprehended and recognised by the fools in the SPLM that they didn’t win the civil militarily as confirmed yesterday by Malak Ayuen on SSTV when he was recklessly trying to justify their embarrassing defeat in the hands of Sudan armed force(SAF) in Abyei region of Northern Sudan!!

All of us know that the referendum was conducted even when it was NOT ready according to its committee; north-south border was not fully demarcated; Abyei and post-referendum arrangements were not settled!! Therefore, the government of Sudan wanted the referendum deadline to be extended so as to give enough time to settle all those issues for the good outcomes but the stupid leadership of alcoholic Pagan Amum in the doom SPLM rejected the postponement of the referendum in a response to external pressure specially by USA that can’t wait to see Sudan being divided so as to control resources in South under the doom leadership of ignorant and alcoholic leaders in SPLM party and most dangerously to use SPLM as a tool to destabilize North Sudan using Dar Fur rebel, Nuba people in Southern Kordofan and people of Southern Blue Nile to fail the NCP and capture president Al-Bashier !! Anyway, President Al Bashier and his wise leadership in NCP accepted to run the unprepared referendum just avoid confrontation with SPLA/M militia!! NCP of President al-Basheir accepted the rigged result of the referendum regardless, promised to let southern establish a country in the southern Sudan and life goes on!! What else do SPLM/A wants from NCP that respected their wishes?? SPLA was two-faced to Sudanese people that it was fighting for a united Sudan and to free its so-called marginalised even though all Sudanese people were undeveloped and marginalised by the successive regimes in Sudan!! The questions where is does that vision goes!! Died with Garang!! atho cia ku lach Jaang!!!

Take it easy we are not defeated, it is a war Games
In SPLA/M Kiir and Lam Akol have never make SPLA/M Soldiers happy. The crazy Nyuon Bany and Kuanyin Bol were the best to make their soldiers happy in Term of war.

And others Young commanders who knew their soldiers heart, most Bor commanders make SPLA/M miserable all the time, as they like to stay behind in the food places. Bor alway run to Refugee places and got married while others Dinka died in front line without getting married or leaving one child behind.

Kiir act like Bor alway with his foolishness idle for long that trapped SPLA/M alway. SPLA/M needs leaders that will response of intelligence quickly with care of their people at whole. Arab will disarray Juba one day after July 9, 2011. So Northern UpperNile will be run over by Arab Army as Abyei is over now.

South Sudanese have to be more patient when is come to war, when somebody withdraw or defeat to day does not mean is the end of defeat. Some one run today is the one who will fight tomorrow. When you get corners you must leave the areas to think again for tomorrow. That is the how war is fought.

SPLA/M need changed in to united all black people in Sudan, this present administration lack of many things. This is the of starting “Koor yakoh” Gatdet will be overdose in his homeland as NgunDeng said, “Caa yakoh yiic dhoor dien” Arab will reach Dongjol,Louny Aker, and Abyei is now run over.

Deng Nhial is on the response after they reach these areas. “Rol THIELA/SPLA caa bi hoon ee roll maac” “rool ThonNyang caa bi hoon ee rool” “Baa kee kith ee Deng Nhial, Nguen Rol Deng, kee Nguen Deng Rol” They will be driven back after Nhial heavily response which will reach to Khartoum.

    Long live SPLA/M!
    Long live African land!
    Long live black Nation!
    Long live Kush Land!
    Long live ours black struggling!
    Long live ours Nile Nation!
    Long live ours tradition!
    long live ours spitits!
    Long live forever land!

Omer Hassan Al-Bashir is not a man of his words although he’s already a criminally wounded president who has no way out except to die with innocent soldiers taking orders to fight a wrong war. I don’t want to give examples, just reflect on some of his public statements he made in the past on a number of occasions.

I am sure that tomorrow Omer Al-Bashir will withdraw from Anyei without the stated preconditions. Just watch out shortly after July 9, 2011. He knows that he’s wasting his time. The real question he is supposed to ask himself is, “how can I be ready for war without knowing my enemy or whoever may be my enemies from all corners of the country?”

How can he mock SPLA by saying “they thought the SAF is spread thin and exhausted because of the separate armed conflict in Darfur. But we are prepared for war and going back to [the battles] of the 40th mile and Torit”. He is talking about a war on his mind not the kind of war that he experienced over the 21 years in the South. If we are to ask him military questions, I believe he will answer them on his way to the grave yard or out of the country.

Why does Omer Al-Bashir have to tell us that SAF is, however, exhausted by the conflict in Darfur? He was the first person to flee the country when JEM attacked Omdurman in May 2008, leaving Osman Taha behind only to cry for GOSS President’s help. Taha felt relieved when H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit arrived in Khartoum the following day. Omer Hassan Al-Bashir knew JEM was penetrating the tri-cities. Instead of facing JEM, he resorted to blaming French and Salah Gosh.

Bashir now relies mainly on air power of the old Russian-and-Chinese made jets to help the Popular Defense Forces (PDFs) advance in the battle fields in Darfur without driving the rebel forces completely out of the region. If he still believes that SPLA cannot use air power after July 9, 2011, let’s see. It will be D-Day for Khartoum not Abyei.

Sudanese president rules out withdrawal from Abyei
    Dear Southern Sudanese,

It has now become very clear that Bashir is behind the rebellions previously formed to fight against the government of Southern Sudan. This attack is much or less preplan and the ambush laid on them while relocating to Northern territory has actually help them to stage their plan of invading Southern Sudan; we can now the attack against their army has not materialized on our side.

This decision that we are now reading and being uttered by president Bashir is not a principle decision but opportunistic and war-mongering decision, it is a doing according to the philosophy that the best way to cover up their ill intentions is by counter-attacking and is not a way to go forward for President Bashir.

SPLA will soon lose their patience as they are being numerously being provoke by the Sudan armed forces and will soon say enough is enough. Our parliament should be ready to give green light to our soldiers to go to hell with the Sudan armed forces if they keep on killing innocent civilians with intention of depopulating our population which in turn interfere with the development of our country. We cannot stand in the middle while our people are being massively slaughtered by the SAF. Let us prepare ourselves for any unexpected military confrontation of events.

    Thanks

    ATTENTION:

For those of you who are familiar with Ngundeng’s predictions here is what he said about Bul Nuer. I listened to my cassette last night and found this song he sung about the Bul Nuer which exactly can be interpreted to mean the current situation in Mayom county of Bul Nuer.

I know many of the Nuer already know about this Ngundeng’s song predicting the situation in Bul Nuer when he said:

“Ba Bul wang mare Bul, ba Bul wang Bul, thiece Jang (Dinka) ka thiece chot lual (jellab), yien tot to bia weni, cuare we ho, eyiene duote ro bia we ni, cuare we ho, ehan Deng Luak. Bi Bul eyuol yuol, ce goa, ce naath riaw dor, ce goa, cu mani gokh Deng, ce goa, cu mani gar Bong, ce goa. En Gar Bong ci cioke rom, ci Deng duany ci cioke tol, e wi dial mara biele, cang koora ba Lou we duac…Mara Luak ke Nuer, cang kor padiang e yiath ke thak mi nyango bi wang dun we poc ke jaang.”

I thought Ngundeng meant the fighting in Bul during the war when Paulino Matip was fighting the SPLA. But now is more clearer with this situation of Peter Gatdet. Somebody who knows about Ngundeng’s predictions very well told me to calm down, because this is the time. He said I should not blame others too much because it is unavoidable until it comes to pass.

So, when Ngundeng said “ba Bul wang mara Bul” or “I will burn the Bul, I will strike them down.” And then he said, “Bi Bul e yuol-yuol, ce goa, ce naath riaw dor, ce goa” or The Bul will bi small in number, that is good, they have been scattered, that is good. But he continued by telling Bul that “thiece Jang, ka thiece Cot Lual” or “Ask the Dinka and ask the Jellaba”. I don’t know what it means but that seems a dangerous message to those two categories.

I don’t understand when he said “Gar Bong’s legs have bent, Deng has bent its legs have broken, let me strike down all the areas.”

And he said “cang koora ba Lou we duac” or the “Day of my war, I will punish the Lou-Nuer.” That is he will punish them by using them to fight his war somewhere.

And he concluded that I will punish or strike down my Luak (South Sudan) using the Nuer, when he said “duace Luak ke Nuer.” But the good news is that after punishing the Luak using the Nuer, he predicted the outcome to be good for the Nuer.

This is the same situation with Abyei, when Ngundeng predicted the situation in Abyei by saying “Ngok Kiir bi ke wang” or “Ngok of River Kiir will be burnt down.” It has happened now exactly as Ngundeng predicted more than a hundred and fifty years ago. But he also said “bi Ngok ha liac nhial” that the Ngok will look up to me.” I don’t know what that entails.

I believe many of you who listen to Ngundeng prophecies in his songs might have heard him saying all those about Bul Nuer and Ngok Dinka.

There are many others for every Nuer clan and Dinka, Shillukk, Murle, Anyuak, except Equatorians that I did not hear any thing that I can understand to mean them.

For example, another one that may be interpreted to mean the situation of Gabriel Tanginya, is when Ngundeng said, “kan dor mi rier cet ke Thiang met nen, engu loki ben Luako?” or “I have never seen a reckless community like Thiang, why do you refuse to come to the Luak (South Sudan). Gabriel Tanginya hails from Thiang community in Fangak.

Mr Bashir the annexation of Abyei by your army without SPLA carrying out retaliatory action is just a matter of July 9th. We are not afraid of people who encroached our territory. Just refuse to withdraw your troops from Abyei, but the condition will force you to remove them from there.
Territory disputes is not a simple task as you think.
